Twilight, Twilight, Twilight, Twilight and Batman

[identity profile] mekkio.livejournal.com 2008-07-26 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Every other secret today was either about Batman or Twilight. One has a man who becomes a bat and the other is about a vampire who doesn't.

Hmmm...

But, honestly, no more Twilight secrets. I have had enough of them. We get it. You hate the book. You love the book. If the book was real, you'd slash its tires. If the book was real, you would make sweet, sweet love to it until the cows come home. Bella and Edward are the perfect relationship. Bella and Edward are the very model of a messed up relationship. You read the book because it's deep and misunderstood. You read the book for lulz because it's shallow and poorly written.

Again, we get it. Nothing more needs to be said.

For the future secret makers, please, stop with these type of secrets. If you can think of something unusual and clever than go for it. If it's just another "I hate/love this book," keep it under your hat. Thank you.

I've got a headache.

And, oh, yeah, the Joker did look cute in the nurse's outfit.

[personal profile] whisperingsteel 2008-07-26 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
This.

I lol'd.

155: Ha! I called this one on the way out of the theater. Thank you OP, you just made me $10. :D Thank you for proving that we all really are as perverted as I thought.

the laziest of muns

[personal profile] whisperingsteel 2008-07-26 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
108- I agree, actually. As much as I love the iconfiend100, I wish the mods were better at... Well, modding.

127- Howard...? Well, whatever floats your boat~!

140- No, I made a secret once that said 'obvious poster, yadda yadda' and it WAS obvious, at least to friends I know who frequent the community. Those lines are aimed at the friends of secret-posters, mostly.

163- The plz accounts are made of love. Those things rule.

140.

[identity profile] glamourcorpse.livejournal.com 2008-07-26 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Those lines are aimed at the friends of secret-posters, mostly.

That's exactly what I assumed too. I never think they are being egotistical.

[identity profile] dried-frog-pill.livejournal.com 2008-07-26 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
129. Good luck to you. Coulton is ♥

140. *snerk* Whenever I see "obvious poster is obvious," I just think "really now?" because I never know who it is or am too lazy to figure it out. Guess I fail at the popularity game of F!S XD

148. A THE DARK CRYSTAL SECRET?! ABOUT THE SKEKSIS?! To be fair, they are a creepy set of creatures. But I think I liked them because they were that way XD

164

[identity profile] doctor-dorothy.livejournal.com 2008-07-26 09:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow, people find him attractive? Ya learn something new on the internet every day. Personally, I'd hit the Joker before I'd touch that man. And I didn't find the Joker attractive.

112. Power to us Michael fans.

115. ...*loling* OMG I NEVER NOTICED THAT. You are a genius.

153. ...that's a bit creepy.

168. This secret made me laugh the most.

[identity profile] celticwelsh.livejournal.com 2008-07-26 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
147. I liked that ending. From what little I've gathered from fandom this makes me a bad person.

154. Yeah, see above. Torchwood fandom is bad enough, I don't need the buthurt opinions of DW fandom as well. But if you can live through fandom and still like the show after all this time, I'm pretty sure you can withstand watching future shows.

(Anonymous) 2008-07-26 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
147. It's not that you're a bad person. Or at least, I don't think the majority of fandom would say that of you for liking that ending. You're you and you're welcome to your opinion and that's okay. It's just that a bunch of disagree with you. And that's okay, too, isn't it? We can agree to disagree without a bunch of name calling, can't we? O_o

You and me both, it seems.

[identity profile] wasabi-girl1.livejournal.com 2008-07-26 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
#141 & #157 - LOL, I totally think they need a fandom so that they can become the stellar slash OTP that they SHOULD be. :D

[identity profile] kagedtiger.livejournal.com 2008-07-27 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
I completely agree! I thought these two were slashy ever since I first saw that video they ran on the Disney Channel. Since then I saw their origin story, and... wow. Wow indeed. I even based a couple of slash RP characters off of them. ^_^; I think the problem is that they don't have enough of a STORY to have a fandom.

108

[identity profile] buddha-loves-me.livejournal.com 2008-07-26 09:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree. There were several times I wanted to put in a request for a claim, but since nothing's been approved for months I didn't bother. =/

(Anonymous) 2008-07-26 09:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I liked Enterprise, too. Tho' DS9 will always be my favorite Trek.

Actally, thinking of some of the interviews with Gene and all that, I think Enterprise is closer to the Trek Gene *wanted* to do back at the start. Maybe not 100%. But much closer than what we got in the '60's.

Re: #126

[identity profile] vashti.livejournal.com 2008-07-28 12:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I really liked the last year of Enterprise. Really, really liked it. The rest of it I disliked not because it was un-Trek or un-Gene or anything, but because it was *bad*, and so often ignored what had come before.

However, I still maintain Robert April was the first captain of the Enterprise.

LET'S GIVE IT A TRY:
Hamlet, Midsummer Night's Dream, King Henry IV(I think? 8| I have no idea, lmfao),Titus Andronicus, Twelfth Night, The Winter's Tale, The Merchant of Venice, King Lear, and Romeo and Juliet.

.... I THINK, LMFAO. :'D Kind of going by general knowledge (and guessing) as I've only actually read five of the ones I named.

But no, I don't think he'd mind either. :'D

[identity profile] antiva.livejournal.com 2008-07-26 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
168. I. I. LMFAO. I'm far more worried someone will think I'm a totally lame douchebag than someone worrying about whether I'm pretty. I suppose it depends on your priorities but really? XD;

175. As much as I dislike her character, I wouldn't go as far as to call her Mary Sue. Why would you? inb4 everyone is a Mary Sue?

168 OP

(Anonymous) 2008-07-28 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
Thing is, I honestly believe that most people I meet, no matter what they say aloud or repeat online, really do think I'm a totally lame douchebag. I always seem to mess up somehow when first impressions count. I have a lot more confidence in my ability to look decent than in my person-meeting skills, so...salvage what I can, I guess. (Who me, self-esteem?)

134, 140, 141 & 157

[identity profile] arizona-jones.livejournal.com 2008-07-26 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
134: PHOENIX REQUIEM HOMG YES. ♥ ♥ ♥ I adore that comic way too much for my own good. XDD;;; That said, I do still read Megatokyo, too. ^^; But TPR makes me flail and giggle and die a lot more than MT does.

140: I KNOW WHO THIS IS.

...

YOU'RE ME.

>.> But yes, I feel the same way. Not to mention, lol, we're not exactly running through these attempting to squint and look at it sideways and figure out that oh, that precise secret HAD to have come from ______. We're just reading them. Not analyzing them. Most of the time.

No, shockingly. And now I'm very confused.

#130, #150, #162 and #176

[identity profile] crystaldiver.livejournal.com 2008-07-26 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
130. OP, my love for you in this moment is unrivaled. By now I must have read the first and second book over a million times and only the last book once because I can't bring myself to see his death scene again. *Has to stop here or will never shut up about it.*

150. They would make one hell of an example as parents, but I view them more as those crazy grandparents you see at a family reunion. The kind that have been married so long that despite their constant bickering, their love would be completely lost without the other. That and they would spoil the grand kids with so much candy they would vomit their insides out; provided Chowder didn't eat it all first.

162. Join the club.

176. Alright, so. Thanks to this, the idea is here. I'm curious. What ten fics?

125 Me, too. I thought Dr. Horrible was kind of cute, but that's it. It was wince-worthy, and the spoilers I heard about the end make me SO HAPPY I didn't watch it.

127 Did you go to deliberately pick an image you thought he looked hot in? Cause, if so? Yeah, you probably ARE the only one. No offense or anything, but DO NOT WANT.

140 I'd hesitate to call it 'full of themselves' and more along the lines of 'worried it'd be easy for anyone they know to figure it out.'

148 Dark Crystal secret? AWESOME.

156 PLEASE NO.

168 If they do, they might not tell you, depending on what kind of boundaries (or lack thereof) your online interactions have. Doesn't mean they don't think so, but... just keep that in mind.

101. Aaah, the question of wether to leave it be or continue... I must admit, I can see both points and find them valid, but in the end I simply must choose the other option. If only because I am a SUCKER for completion. I can't help it, it's just how I am, what I have read the beginning to and fallen for, I have to know the end to. And getting a non-end frustrates me to no end, even if I can accept in this case since it kind of was a semi-sort of end. Bleh. I don't even know where I'm going with this, all I'm saying is that I would not be adverse to a continuation and true ending and resolving of plot points left hanging.

105. What show be the one on the left from?

112. As wacko as Jacko are, I will always adore the man's music. I can't help myself, it is just that groovy. So here, you have a likeminded fellow OP.

119. Dude, that is some bad luck.

120. The design is... appealing, but not attractive. So not attractive, and honestly I thank God for LoK showing me vampires do not always have to be fabulous Adonises of the night, but downright twisted, misshapen and bizarre monstrosities. Kain will always be so much cooler than those pretty boys.

127. This man looks familiar somehow... is he a comedian?

133... At first, I thought "Oh man, way to be an unreadable secret". But as I read it... well. Cleverly played, OP. Cleverly played indeed.

142. Oh god Bust a Groove slash. I thought I'd seen it all, yet I had not. Those games were fun... I wonder if there is any WRONG!1-slash of the fat dude and the gasmaskkid or if it's all just pretty~slash like in the picture.

I have no idea why I'm wondering that, I just am.

167. You know, I actually have that problem myself. And it makes me think of Dante and Vergil breakdance fighting for some stupid reason.

183. That picture is so adorable that I simply must know where it comes from.
