i agree. there is a lot of bullshit in that book. The thing that bothered me the most was that Edward said 'if only you knew what the others thought about you on your first day' or something or the other, yet in Phoenix(?) she was the outcast? what the hell?

122. Aaaagh, that bugs me too. Especially when people decide Revan (from the Knights of the Old Republic video game) or other powerful Jedi figures pre-movieverse MUST be a Skywalker ancestor, because OMGGG nobody who isn't a Skywalker could possibly be that powerful/awesome right??!1? ...-headdesk- of course, most of what I've seen of "Revan Skywalker" has been a parody, but still, some people...

That, and when awesome non-Jedi characters absolutely HAVE to be Force-sensitive secretly/without their knowledge, because non-Force users can't be that cool! -headdesk, headdesk-

147: I see your point, but here's my take on it.

For one thing, the thing with Jackie and AltPete was kind of like a sweet side story. We weren't really expecting it, and we weren't looking for a happily-ever-after for either of them. It was just kind of like "Aww, that's lovely, I'm glad that happened." On the other hand, we've been waiting two goddamn years for a conclusion to the Doctor/Rose saga. And what we got was neither an epic heartbreak NOR a happily-ever-after in the TARDIS. It was something in between, something they could realistically carry out while still placating the fans. And that's what it felt like, at least to me -- a consolation prize, a cop-out.

Also, Jackie and AltPete chose each other. They made their decision to stay together. I personally really feel like the (real) Doctor forced an ending on Rose and the human Doctor that neither of them really wanted. Don't you think they would have preferred a life of adventuring in the TARDIS? But the Doctor forced a "normal" life on them and then ran off, and that kind of sucked.

104- Well, if you can read Japanese, the PS2 remake is extremely easy to find. If you have access to anyway of playing imports on a PS2, you should try it out. Even if you can't read Japanese, there's a wiki somewhere with most of it translated, if you don't mind switching from your computer to the TV Screen.

Or you can download the Psone version and play on an emulator.
