196: For the most part, I feel the same way, but in certain situations it works differently. Such as if a character I like is in an unhappy or abusive relationship, I would say they "deserve" better, or that the abuser doesn't "deserve" said character's affection. Don't lose respect just because of a single word, the context may be very different.

The timezone is a drag when you want to stay up late and chat with Americans, yes, we get everything later than the rest of the world (games, shows et al) because we're European) but bad? I mean, we do have some pretty damn awesome translators for manga, and we have easy and cheap access to internet that let's us dl large quantities of new shows fast!

Granted I live in the Stockholm area so things may be different for me.

That is exactly the reason that I started watching Supernatural. And now I'm hooked, even without JDM around. (I hope that they'll at least bring him back in flashbacks.)

Anyway, after watching the episodes that he's in, and reading lots of interviews, I think he'll do a great job as the Comedian. March will not come soon enough for me. ;)

No character--or writer, more realistically--is obligated to make a pairing the prize in some kind of who's the best person contest.

114. Far as I know, the only multiple choice RPG who let you do that was Bioware's Wu Xia-rpg that I can't remember the title of right now. If they're the only one's it's gonna be an uphill battle for the rest of them to put in 'gay options', which it really shouldn't be because really, RPG's are already hounded by the religious for encouraging magic and witchcraft and the common Joe Public for being too hard and complex. 189. I've had the hots for the Joker since I round about 1981 or so, when I first discovered a hugeass stack of Batman comics. I haven't liked most of the movie incarnations (although there've been one or two cartoon moments that have hit the right note) because they didn't quite fit how I thought the Joker would be.

What we find hot often has little to do with logic and sanity and no, if the Joker were real, I'd run like mother-fucking hell. That being said, I fucking adored this particular version of the Joker. Heath Ledger, in general, does nothing at all for me, other than leaving me cold.

Shockingly, some people are all about character and characterization and don't give a damn about who happens to be playing any particular character, as long as their portrayal matches or exceeds our personal expectations.

It makes me roll my eyes every time I see a 'It's just because it's Heath Ledger' or 'It's just because Heath Ledger is dead.' Are you really so focused on a single actor that you automatically assume everyone in the world can't see past that? I'd've loved this characterization done by anyone, as long as they could act.
