I remember getting a little.. uh... tingly during that scene the first time I saw it. I was also pretty young...

179. Oh god I agree. Does this count as another Simon/Nia secret? XD

194. I'm not in the fandom, but I want a sequel anyway. D: It's been yeeears, is it even possible at this point?

Not trying to start up wank, but I don't remember Jesus telling anyone to go out and kill people. Way to blame the religion as a whole for the actions of a few. May as well hate on Islam for the suicide bombers.

It irks me when people do this. While yeah, a whole lot of stupid people have done some terrible things in the name of religion, a whole lot of good people have done some amazing things as well.

Re: 187

(Anonymous) 2008-08-20 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm blaming the religion as an institution, Church, the system and structure of organized Christianity over 2000 years of history. Yes, I'd say it's left us pretty damn fucked up.

118. Sob people that can't differentiate between FF and KH ):

125. Husky raspy LISPy voice :OOOO

127. I somehow doubt you can relate to a mass-murderer, unless you have murdered people, and have no shame flaunting it because you know you can evade the police???

149. Het is kind of considered the 'default,' and I kind of think it is too? But that doesn't mean het-fans don't wear het-goggles. I enjoy my 'lets ship everything ever' goggles, really.

151. It's still comprehending the same words, is what my brain tells me, although I can't help but also feel like you're cheating? But, really, there's no reason for that idea. Taking in the same thing in a different way is still taking in the same thing??? Haha. I can't listen to audio books because my mind wanders and I stop listening. ):

156. rofl

160. Psychological blindness does not work that way. It's likely that even after opening her eyes, she wouldn't see shit, still psychologically. Plus, having kept them closed for so long, her eyes would probably be ultra sensitive to light etc. Anyway Rolo died so lol

177. Most fanfiction in general is.

112: IA I’m not horrified, but kind of surprised at myself. And I have a feeling if he really existed, I would be scared of the things he could do to me, but he’s just so awesome in the movie.

116: I love neopets so much and I don’t know why. It’s such a timesink.

123: I love wank in fandom (hey I think its fun to watch idiots verbally tear each other apart.) Sometimes I feel like the internet keeps my fandoms fresh because I can read fan fiction and discussion that fuels my love for a fandom. Fanart too.

132: I’m sorry, but the “taking a dump in his mouth” made me lol.

141: WTF, he’s into that? Whatever floats your boat I guess.

161: OMG X-Play <333

167: Its nice that you put a spoiler warning in your secret, thanks. I understand this is something you have to watch out for in this comm, but I started reading 160 without noticing it was Code Geass which I’ve only seen the first season of and got spoiled like woah. Not complaining, just thanking the poster of 167.

168: Nothing wrong with doing both, as I do do both, but I think between the two its more strange to imagine yourself with a fictional character than to ship two characters together. Not knocking either, I’m just saying.

175: I can relate, I have some friends in real life, but when it comes to fandom, I’m so shy.

187: Wank tiem!

189: I actually had only seen Heath Ledger in A Knight’s Tale before TDK. A Knight’s Tale didn’t impress me that much really. Yeah, I think Ledger’s joker is pretty hot, but I’d also hit the other jokers in the other universes of the fandom. During TDK, I hardly thought about Heath Ledger, only because he died. He became the Joker to me. Even now I think Heath Ledger‘s Joker >>>> Heath Ledger.(did that make sense?) I love the character itself really.

194: I just watched this recently, havn’t really explored the fandom yet. What kind of things do the fanbrats do?

Hoshit people post fast in this comm.

178: Sleepy Hollow! I agree, Depp is great in that. ^_^

181: I agree! Having the bad guy "force" the good guy to fuck him would be an interesting twist.

189: I was just thinking this yesterday--if they had cast a not-so-attractive actor, would so many people be drooling over him? For the record, I think SOME people would still be attracted to him, but I don;t think as many would.

114 - you mean bioware, right? A couple of things. Jade Empire has male player/Sky as an option. No kiss scene, but nor does the female/Silk Fox option. Also, quite a lot of people ship Carth/Revan.

110. OMG. It's a Prayer for Owen Meany secret. And yes, I can see it too. I doubt there's any fic, though. But hey, Rule 34 and all.

132. I lol'ed.

149. IAWTS. Though I pretty much wear both types of goggles (I suppose I could sum it up with 'I'm an equal-opportunity pervert), I agree that it's a ridiculous double standard.

154. I would totally read that. And, who knows, if the inspiration strikes hard enough to snap me out of my KHR and Gintama phase...

165. Horrible person? For what? Being emotionally damaged by his socially inept brother's attempts to 'save' him? He can be very frustrating, even downright infuriating, but underneath all of his anger and confusion I believe that he's a genuinely good person. He'll come around...I hope.

168. Troll? I dunno. Why do you care about what gets other people off? Why does it matter? And, pray tell, what does any of it have to with self esteem? (That's like saying that people without a scar fetish are insecure about their scars, which is quite idiotic.)

172. It's an entertaining series. I recommend it, flaws and all.

191. It is touching, I agree. But it still sometimes gives me the heeby jeebies.

196. Well, I wouldn't go so far as to say that I lose respect for anybody, but I do agree with the overall point of your secret.

Ah, two of my favorite games in one secret! I do agree that when people are discussing Leon from Final Fantasy, I automatically think of II, not VIII, but if they mention Kingdom Hearts, I'm okay with it. He may be Squall there, but he chooses to go by Leon, and so if fans want to call him that, that's cool. The guy in VIII, though, is Squall. No exceptions.

Needs more Rinoa and Leila.

[identity profile] yui-hime.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 10:08 pm (UTC)(link)
118) In case you haven't reached this conclusion on your own already: there are Kingdom Hearts fans in your corner of FF8 fandom. You have my permission (not that you need it) to throw rocks at them until they understand that Kingdom Hearts continuity =/= Final Fantasy 8 continuity, and that despite appearances, KH's Leon is NOT ACTUALLY FF8's SQUALL.

169) "would gladly suffer through" /grammarnazi

114. S'high time for games to get with the program as far as homosexual relationships and female avatars goes. If the game companies would all move in that direction then their customer base would be forced into the 21st century as well.

118. There are people who call him Leon? But he's not Leon...

123. What was it then, exactly? Feel free to enlighten us. And then feel free to go find communities that feature whatever it is you want.

127. Correction: You have never WANTED to relate to a fictional character that much.

137. I'm tired of both "romantic and naive" AND "sex-fiend know it all." We don't need a grown up Sora any more than we need another smirking pervert.

149. Yeah right. There IS a middle ground between "all yaoi fangirls are nuts" and "all straight fangirls are nuts" - sometimes the subtext you see IS nothing, and sometimes it isn't. It's not automatically heteronormative.

158. I believe this is the only appropriate response.

114. ...lol, UBIsoft? Faaaaail.

120. I sort of know how you feel (although I read the manga, you couldn't catch me watching the anime). It is sexist drivel, and the fandom has the IQ of an irradiated jackass. And yet I don't drop it.

I think the reason is that with the characters, and the setting, it had potential to be incredible. Kishimoto squandered that potential at every turn, but in somebody else's hands, it could have been great. I don't like Naruto so much as I like what Naruto could have and should have been.

123. I bet you walked uphill both ways, too, and them dang teenagers weren't running around having sex.
