Really, the vast majority of fictional characters in mainstream fandoms display hetero tendencies, so I think it's appropriate (if a tad silly) to say you're wearing "slash goggles" when avidly pairing mostly previously-shown-as-hetero men together (or womens, though I think it's undeniably obvious that people slash guys more often). It doesn't negate your experiences, but it's how it is.

Have you ever played Jade Empire? Because they have m/m or f/f relationships. Only they only show the m/f "kissing scene" at the end but the flirting is all there. It's a pretty decent game either way.
