Took a mental health/self care day and stayed home from work. Got coffee, made pizza, played games on my phone, watched a little TV.

found out my wife and I are going to have to pay $300 a month we don't have for an old debt that was never settled and they won't give us any relief on it. we're going to have to survive two weeks on $60 now and we don't have food in the fridge. we're fucked.

Tuesday is my sort of nothing day at work. I have some shit to do in the morning (checking orders to make sure they are being cut correctly) and then not much of anything.

I went to work. There wasn't much for me to do there, but I get paid regardless, so that's fine.

My parents are out to dinner tonight, so I was responsible for feeding the pets dinner. In fact, I'm about to go give my younger cat her treats.

Speaking of treats, I just bought Christmas gifts for my brother's cats, so I hope those get there quickly & that he, his girlfriend, and most especially, their four cats, enjoy them.

I bought music on iTunes, including three Christmas albums I have physical copies of but want on my phone for the season. (My Macbook Air is too old to sync with my iPhone 7 and upload music from my iTunes library to my phone, so I make do the best I can.

Later tonight, I will make my own dinner. And I have what used to be Investigation Discovery but is apparently now called Crime + Investigation on in the background. They're playing My Evil Sister right now.

I ate a quart of potato soup, then bagged leaves in the yard. Now I’m going to shop for seeds for next year’s garden.

Interpreted for a really long meeting at work and got home to find an early Christmas present from a friend, so that was neat.

I cleaned, which I am still doing even though I mostly stayed off the Switch and didn't procrastinate. (It's only 5:45 pm here and I don't even know when I'll be finished.) Not complaining though, at least it's getting done.

Posted up some things for sale in my journal and on my Zibbet. Handmade stuff that's been hard to sell, all fandomy. And then wasted a couple hours searching for fandom communities which would let me advertise it to no avail. Ugh I don't want to go back to Facebook for selling communities...

Holiday foods for pot lucks.....

So the Fire Department is having their Xmas party this Saturday, and while they cater the main meal, everybody 'potlucks' to bring snacks and desserts. I said I would bring sweet bread - pumpkin bread and banana bread - but I'd like to bring one more loaf of something. I'm broke as fuck, and actually have the stuff for the two loaves I mentioned, but would like to bring one more.

Any suggestions for something easy and not too expensive to make that's kinda X-mass-y? Something spicy or something....
