124. Meh, I think he was just an IRL troll of some kind. Probably doing something to mess with people, akin to the Zombie Walks.

127. Yeah, I never got that whole thing with the kitten. Am I the only one who saw it as a mercy kill? It was at death's door anyway, and he gave it a quick, painless death. It's not something that most people (me included) would have the balls to do, but it was probably the more humane option.

I'm mixed on the kitten issue. I think that he was doing it a kindness, and that Kaworu thought the same, but the fact that he literally crushed its neck in such an easy fashion is somewhat eerie and startling (although he later has what looks to be a remorseful face when Shinji reminisces over the event).

I do hate it when people take one look at the kitten scene and assume that Kaworu is always like that, or even that it's a sign of his "evil/sadistic nature." He notably shows at least some caring for humanity, or at least Shinji (which in part leads him to sacrifice himself).

I have absolutely zero experience in this arena, but uh... speaking as a totally uninformed and gleefully ignorant idiot, couldn't it also depend on just how many cuts were made in the area in question? I mean, the scar in the first picture looks like it came from one fairly clean cut. Um, failing that, the person in question probably received good medical attention to minimize said scarring?

The Joker's scars always struck me as being the result of a really, really violent incident that the Joker himself probably stitched up afterwards... or didn't, even. Like I said, I have no experience when it comes to this kind of thing, but when I consider just how many different possible ways the cuts could have been made and/or treated, even with just a knife, it seems entirely possible for the scars to have ended up looking the way they do. I dunno, maybe whoever was responsible actually took chunks of the Joker's flesh out while he/she was doing it and whoever stitched it did a really piss-poor job and then the Joker's skin sort of grew over the stitches and got all mangly and gross. Fuck if I know.

As someone who loved the first series of Robin Hood and all but the last episode of the second series, I should be offended...

But I kind of see your point.

I don't think I'd love the show as much as I do if it weren't so badly written that I can write fanfiction and have it thought of as better than most of the show's actual dialogue. And I don't think the fandom would be so good if it didn't attarct so many decent fic writers determinded to fix all the plot holes, inconsistancies and shoddy character development. It's fun.

It's kind of an empty thing to get upset about though. Some people think two guys kissing is hot. Some people think two girls kissing is hot. Some people think a guy and a girl kissing is hot. People think romantic and sexual gestures are hot, and this is why smut and porn exist. As long as someone isn't actually treating you like less of a person, it isn't really a big deal. I'm certainly not going to get upset if some guy OR girl thinks me kissing another girl is hot- hell, I think it is too, that's why I'm doing it, and seeing other people kiss can be hot, so. (:

108. I think you'll find there are a lot of gen-ficcers out there. Maybe you're looking in the wrong places? I, personally, don't read the longer gen stories because do want some sex with my fanfic, but the community is by no means all about sex all the time. Of course, it also depends on the particular fandom.

I do ship pairings that are random sometimes because I can see some dynamics than can make a great pair, and some authors actually have that talent to make it work, but I agree that most authors tend to make one or the other (even the male, dammit) a Mary Sue/Gary Stu and pretty much just bullshits their way writing for the fandom.
