Been laying in the hotel bed all day with the lights off. Still have a major migraine. If it isn't gone by Monday will need to find a doctor. If it isn't gone tomorrow, will have to skip tomorrow's activities. Which is frustrating because tomorrow we are going to a nearby village to learn about women in indigenous cultures, and I really wanted to do that.

But I'm in so much pain right now. Can't handle turning the light on, much less sunlight. I've got my computer screen turned down as low as it will go before off. I've got a bag of ice on my head. The staff have been amazingly nice and keep supplying me with the ice I ask for.

I have not had a migraine like this in years.

I'm generally on the "roll eyes and move on to the next thing" side regarding woobification myself, but it does get grating when woobie!X fans act like the woobification is canon and X should be present in scenes and promotional bits centered around the heroes when X is a villain.

There must still be an audience out there for gen, surely? I read a lot of it myself. Often I read more of it than shipfic in fact.

I don't know. I was spoiled for Get Out before I saw it, and I still loved it. I don't think it took anything away from the experience for me. I think this is just something where different people are different.

It's not just about Reylo, the secret also says that the cast is basically shutting down Kylo fans and that they're saying he's a "shit person" when Daisy is still sympathetic towards him and has talked positively about his relationship with Rey, even if she doesn't think they should be romantic.

Kay, so... I have a fandom where I lowkey ship the protagonist with one of her first villains. And he's a pretty bad dude! Not, like, intergalactic genocide bad, but still pretty bad!
The trick, though, is how I d o n 't sit around talking about how he's a poor misunderstood soul who has been Done Wrong and just needs Love and Understanding to Save Him. Cos he's a bad person, and if wanted to stop, he could.

Secret says delusional Kylo fans. Pretty sure they are just referring to the ones that woobify him and not all his fans, though they could have been a little more clear.

"Ruins the movie" is strong, but there are a lot of movies where experiencing the twists and turns of the plot is enjoyable and I understand why people want to experience that for themselves

No. If a spoiler ruins a movie for me, I have different viewing preferences and priorities than you do.

None of your money actually goes to animators and very little goes to the production company, when you buy a crunchyroll sub, so your money's best spent on supporting the occasional animator project. Importing blu-rays or merch is better than a sub, but still not ideal, as most of it goes to the production company and not the animators. TBH, American fans really overstate how much influence they have on the industry.

Yes. As in, the fans who don't think he's actually evil. Secret maker used shit instead of evil. They are talking about the "Kylo was right" fans. The ones who say he isn't really evil.
