I do it all the time, which leads to heartbreak when the movie actually comes out (Hi, The Dark is Rising). Since Transformers did so well and GI Joe is on the way, I figure it's only a matter of time until there's a Jem movie which totally ignores all my awesome ideas. (We'll probably get Ashlee Simpson as Jerrica/Jem. Ick.)

106: Hibari is very interesting, but he's probably one of the most damaged people in the series...

110: It's a compelling story, but once you realize that Subaru isn't actually in love with Seishirou but only believes he is, and that the person he believes himself to be in love with is just a construct that Seishirou invented, you can enjoy the twisted psychology for what it is!

148: Because they have a cool Snape, and nobody cares about Harry in any other capacity than to make Snape look good. It's the same in the Harry/Draco parts of the fandom. /bitter

TB1: Who is that? He's very pretty (and I have that same, apparently weird, nose, heh).

Damaged? In what way? I think Hibari has a very bizarre way of looking at the world, but he makes it work. He has his own rules, but since he actually appears to be doing quite well for himself, it's hard to say how his life might be unhealthy, especially compared to some of the walking disasters in that series.

I swear to god. If I see one more person complain about Amanda's british accent. I'm going do throw a fit. Oh wait. I already am. I am so SO SICK AND TIRED OF IT. WE GET IT. PEOPLE DON'T LIKE IT. SHUT UP ABOUT IT ALREADY. DEAR GOD.

I happen to like it. I also happen to understand that if you lived in Victorian London back in the day you know, and then went all over the world you'd probably speak a little weirdly. I speak weird too (born in England, grew up elsewhere, school board tried to speech therapy me out of accent, thought it was me just speaking improper like), god knows what fandom would do to me if I was on a show.

If it throws you, it throws you. It would probably throw you if you knew someone too, but after a while you get used to it, and you just accept that they talk funny.


p.s I love David Hewlett, I think he's the bomb. I've enjoyed pretty much everything he's been in. I however also do not want all those fans that drive me up the wall with the misogyny over in the Doctor Who fan. They drive me bonkers.

103- I did not get a real sense of what Wilson said was true.I know. I think that moment was to tie in with the moment that they met and I really did not think it worked for me either. He said that he was having fun with House around but I did not really feel that. I can buy the explanation, I just don't think it was executed well.

148. I feel the same about H/D. When I try to read through some rec-lists it feels like reading the same stuff over and over again. With the same lame characterization and dull dialogue.

There are some exceptions, though. What comes to mind is Transfigurations, have you read it? As far as I remember, it was good, and I read it after I had already mostly stopped reading H/D. I can't remember who the author is, but I can check if needed. One of the well known artists in the fandom has drawn some art for it.

There was also some fic where Draco was living in the muggle world (I think) and had a child with a black woman, which led to some talk about being a halfblood when the kid found out about Lucius' views. I think that Harry had a kid, too. I can't remember the title, though, but I might have found the fic somewhere here:
