Someone once posted about liking Aladdin/Hercules (I was the one who wrote the fanfic for it) and it made me realize my own Disney slash ship...Aladdin/Jim from Treasure Planet. I never thought of it before but then I stumbled across a video of them and was hooked.

(yugioh arc v) My biggest problem with the ending of arc v is that they treat it was it was a happy ending. If it was treated was a sad ending ( “we defeated the villain but at what cost?”) I would be ok with it, hell I would find interesting to see a yugioh series to end like that.

I started to read Promare fanfics before I saw the movie but now that I have seen and have re-read the fanfics I think some of the writers wrote the stories without seeing it either.

When I’m reading fanfics for my “problematic” ships I don’t want to read people healthy or fluffy reeditions of the ship, I want to read about how fuck up it’s and have it explored.

(Don't Starve and Don't Starve Together)I wish Don't Starve would get a book or a cartoon to proper develop the characters and the world. I love this game even if we now so little about the lore and I just want answers.

I’m kinda glad that when I had my harry potter phase I was younger and just starting to get into fandoms. if I had been older I would probably had ship all type of weird shit.

I say I'm a metal music fan, but really there are only a small list of artists I like. Other than Sabaton, Blind Guardian, Nightwish, and Epica, most of the time I find metal too harsh. I don't even know enough about metal to know if there is a category that would describe the kind of artists I like.

I really thought I would like anything with dragons in it. I was wrong. Someone recommended Stephen Deas' books to me. I made it through one and a half. He's just so clearly smug throughout and writing it to "correct" all the fantasy authors who get dragons "wrong." Dude, no. I will tolerate almost anything for dragons, but not this guy's smug writing.

Superman has always been my favorite superhero, but I don't think we've yet had a movie adaption that has been a particularly good one. Christopher Reeves was okay, but overrated. And his version still missed that Clark Kent is not the mask. TV versions have been better. But when it comes to adaptions, Marvel has been far and away better than DC for me even though in comics I'm a DC girl.

If I had been active in fandom as a teenager, I would've totally been That Fan. I probably wouldn't have been telling people to kill themselves, but I would've definitely been posting long screeds about how horrible and wrong certain kinks and ships were on my tumblr, and sending people anon messages telling them their ships were extremely problematic. I also would totally have been involved in shipping wars, touting the profound, beautiful perfection of my ship while explaining why all the rival ships sucked.

I'm glad tumblr wasn't around back when I was a teen, and that I mostly just lurked and read through fic rec websites. I can't imagine how much wanky shit I would've been involved in if fandom then had been like fandom now.

I was mad at the game Plague Inc. after it's price seemed to raise significantly once the COVID pandemic became more intense. I went as far as to delete the application from my computer because of it. Apparently this isn't the case, and they've actually edited and donated money to the crisis because they aren't being money grubbing assholes about it... I feel guilty about deleting it for no real reason, but not enough to reload it to my PC. Oh well.

I got really excited to write a fanfic. It was fun to write and I was excited to share it with people. I posted it on A03 and...nothing. No comments, no nothing. It's discouraging and makes me not want to post again. I just lost the will to write, you know? I wish I could recapture that fun.

Screw it. This a Jak and Daxter Thread. It goes well, or I start making secrets. And I got a lewd cartoon folder that'd make M.C. Escher lose his grip on reality. Don't make me do this, y'all don't know how bad this can get...

So what's the deal with incest in books?

I know there are plenty of popular books with incest in them (Game of Thrones, Flowers in the Attic, etc.) and recently my friend mentioned having bought an incest-themed book from Amazon.

But then the other day I was reading a bunch of summaries/reviews on Goodreads trying to look for something to read, and came across one that said how the book was only sold on the author's website because there was incest in it, and that went against Amazon's policy, and so they wouldn't sell it. Which obviously is not true, since they sell plenty of books with incest.

Was that person just lying and trying to be edgy or something? Or is it okay for books sold by large publishers, but not allowed for self-published books or something?

Does anyone know what the deal is?
