Every time this happens I just hope my favorite authors didn’t do shitty stuff. It sucks when they’ve been doing awful stuff and I’m not sure if it’s worse when it ruins their work for me so I don’t enjoy it anymore, or when I still love their work but cringe every so often as I read/watch it because I remember their shitty behavior.

What is everyone doing this weekend?

I am going to be making pizza with my sister and nephew Sunday. Sometime this weekend I plan on starting my sister's monster I am crocheting. Hopefully I can scale up the pattern I found for an open mouth amigurumi.

Sleeping. Still have a cold, Can't do all that much until after the carpet guys that were supposed to come today come on Monday. I have an appointment at the Apple Store on Sunday to get my trackpad fixed.

Other than that, watching youtube vids, listening to music, and watching Doctor Who.

Enjoy your pizza making. Pizza sounds delicious. And have fun with your crocheting. I"m sure it will turn out beautiful.

Cases are going up here, so staying home (although to be completely honest, I probably would be staying home anyway). I have a bit of work stuff to do, but it shouldn't take too long, so other than that, reading, possibly some writing, and I'm thinking of making cheese danishes.

First, the Lamb's survived so far and is turning out to be quite energetic!

Second... I've gotta finish a music track because I try and do one a week. I also have to set up my new laptop, bought because my old one had developed a hardware problem, and now it seems to have spontaneously all but fixed itself? I guess the new one can be for gaming.
The resolution on the new one is a LOT higher. I can't see individual pixels and that weirds me out.

And Numenera! I think I might have a way to get the Plot back on the track I'd derailed it from... but whenever I plan for my character to do a thing ahead of time things happen that stop those things happeneing! So who knows.

Hopefully catching up on quality sleep and exercise, doing yoga, and acquiring some groceries and quality green tea. The only issue is that that last item is about an hour out of town and I haven't been that way since before the 'rona.

Groceries, cleaning, making myself another mask or two.

I might go for a covid test - finally - since I went and got my hair did last weekend. All customers and stylists were in masks and it felt safe, but it was the first time I'd done something like that since the pandemic started.

I had made myself a mask with ear elastic for the appointment since the other ones I'd made had fabric ties that go around the back of my head and that wouldn't work getting my hair cut and dyed! The only elastic I had, though, were hair ties and they started to hurt my ears by the end. I need to modify the pattern so the ties don't have to pull as tight.

My gutters need cleaning. I've done it before, but my ladder is too short to do it safely and I don't feel like doing the scary balancing act anymore. I'm trying to decide if I should buy a taller ladder or rent one. I have a tiny car, but I'm only a block from a Home Depot and could carry a ladder home. That location doesn't seem to have ladders for rent right now (don't know if they ever do). The rental ladders appear to be collapsible so maybe I can get one from another location and fit it in my car.

I have to be my sister's seeing-eye accountant to help her finish some department financials while she's forbidden from long periods at the computer after eye surgery. She'll mock me for wearing a mask, I'll insinuate she's drunk, and then I'll get a novel of text messages later on telling me how unfair I am to her and she's not dumb, I'm dumb, COVID is just a hoax, etc. Good times, good times.

I have an ongoing contract with Orkin for a seasonal treatment on my house and they will be arriving tomorrow to continue it. Not a terribly exciting event, but I deeply appreciate a summer with no spiders getting inside.

Other than that, I'm awaiting yet another delayed period, which will hopefully arrive this weekend. My stress since quarantine and work furlough has been manageable but it still affects my menstrual cycle.

Ooh, what kind of monster? I am gonna try and do nothing because I fucked up my leg at work yesterday and have been limping since, but I have to get groceries and take my laundry to the laundromat at some point, and I can’t drive so walking it is.

So we have been planning on getting new carpet installed in 4 rooms in our house. They were scheduled to come out today. We've spent the last two weeks getting the house ready. My cat has been super stressed because of all the moving things around and boxing things up. By 9:30 we have everything set up, and the cat and I are on the porch with her food, toys, litter box, and my computer ready to spend the day out there together.

They were meant to arrive between 10 and 10:30 this morning. At 10:05 we get a call and they tell us that due to some sort of "technical difficulty" they won't be coming until Monday. No explanation. No warning. They call us right when they are supposed to be warning.

We all want to call them and tell them off, but they are still going to be installing our carpet, so we have to play nice. But they will not be getting a good review.

I'd love to see the people in power charged for the deaths they could have prevented if they'd actually been doing their jobs instead of trying to protect their investments and keep their billionaire backers rich, but that will never fucking happen.

We don't really live in a democracy if elected officials aren't serving the interests of the people.

We don't live in a society even, we live in a bloody economy.

To keep that obscurity, feel free to hint at what they are rather than say.

I really enjoy the music of this creator who has found a way to leave their username and video titles completely blank on YouTube (apparently it's a broken arabic character) and they are REALLY skilled with a difficult to use UTAU voicebank but either their UTAU skills have gotten uncanny or a human is singing their latest songs.

What does doxxing actually mean

At this point, what actually counts as doxxing? Is publishing any information that someone would rather not make public doxxing? Is it doxxing if you publish information that's widely available and known but that you've intentionally avoided publishing in such a way as to associate it with your RL identity? People say "doxxing" so much and I'm confused.

Any gamers here?
