I am now on my 6th month of post-covid complications and now BAM. New possibly terrifying new neurologicall symptoms.

I am so done. If I didn't have responsibilities on this plane of existence then tonight I would be checking out permanently.

Really frustrated about my car. Ended up that the pothole I hit not only destroyed my tire but also bent my rim enough that I need a new one. So I had to shell out about $600 in total and have to wait until Wednesday to get it fixed because that's when the rim will arrive at the shop. Just a whole annoying mess and I've spent more time dealing with that than I wanted to.

Also my allergies are super bad. The dust level is super high both due to weather and due to several new construction sites near my house. I have had a massive sinus headache all weekend that just won't go away. My face hurts, my teeth hurt, my eyes hurt, there is so much pressure in my sinuses. Meds aren't doing much. I really need this headache to be gone tomorrow when I go back to work.

Both of these make me sound like an immature high schooler even though I'm old enough to be the parent of one, but here goes:

I had possibly the heaviest period of my life last week and realized as I was doing laundry that I probably bled on my coworker's car when she was nice enough to give me a lift home. Now I don't know how to a) bring it up at all b) apologize. Do I just give her $100 and say "hey sorry I bled on your upholstery?" Idk.

This next makes me sound like an ass. My housemate, who I've known since we were toddlers, who I consider a surrogate sister, has her life way more in order than I do mine, and has since leaving high school. Recently, she's been getting in shape and losing weight, and started seeing a nice guy. She's had maybe one serious boyfriend her whole life and they broke up on bad terms, so I'm hoping this one stays nice and does not turn out to be a freeloading jerk and attempted rapist like the previous asshole. Also a trifle worried about COVID exposure since she's had him over at the house and neither wore masks.

But I'm still jealous because I'm mentally fucked up and have never had a romantic relationship, dated, had sex, or hell, even held hands with anyone, and I've been overweight since I hit puberty.

My reaction to being touched is to panic and it takes work not to deck people that startle me by doing so, and I'm probably somewhere on the ace spectrum. I'm paranoid about people who are kind to me and assume they must want to take advantage of me somehow. Even though I've had sole control over what and how much I eat for decades now, restricting what and how much I eat still triggers panic attacks and binge eating.

It's not my housemate's fault that my brain is so many different varieties of fucked up, or that she managed to come out of her abusive upbringing so much more functional than I did mine.

And I know damn well that I'm being irrational and by next week my hormones will have evened out and none of this (okay except bleeding on coworker's car) will bother me.

Someone just got beaten up under my windows, the fight was over but some guys still stood over the one lying down as if daring him to get up again; I decided to call the paramedics so at least they could come pick him up without having cops to complicate matters for everyone... and they refused, citing that it is not their job to come get beaten up themselves, according to them *I'm* the one who has to go stick their neck up doing mediation--that I actually can't--and first aid--that I'm not trained for--and then maybe after they'll come pick up the pieces? what the actual fuck??

Most UFO sightings clearly either aren't real or have compelling natural explanations. There are a relatively small number of UFO sightings where I don't think skeptics have provided any compelling natural explanation for the sighting. But I think probably there is a non-supernatural non-ET explanation for those too, we just don't know what it is. Aliens (or extradimensional beings, or hidden non-human terrestrial beings) are not in contact with us.

Ghosts could be real but there's no good evidence they actually do. Angels aren't real.

My otherwise reliable and down to earth friend has had a number of experiences that seem to be ghost related. It's that alone that makes me question whether ghosts are real.

Aliens aren't supernatural and probably exist/have existed. I'm fascinated by the theory of the "big filter". That something happens to destroy a civilization before it advances enough to make first contact, and that's why we've never met any aliens.

I believe alien life exists out there somewhere 100%, whether it's as advanced as us or we'll ever be able to see it is another question entirely, but some kind of alien animal life at least? Even just bacteria? Sure.

Honestly I love the idea of us going to a planet that has life, and finding just a regular, boring fish. It's not funky looking, it's not weird, it's just a Cod you can find anywhere on Earth. That would be fucking hilarious.

But aliens visiting us? No, that doesn't happen and pretty much all UFO 'sightings' are completely made-up or the people in question were on some kind of substance and either not admitting to it or they didn't know. Or they were half-asleep, never trust your in-between brain guys, it lies.

I used to believe in ghosts/spirits because I live with visual and auditory hallucinations, so as a kid you bet I thought that shit was all real and that I was haunted. But I got properly diagnosed as a teen and since that gave me a rational explanation of what was happening to me I stopped believing in them, it's just my brain being super-fucky. Frankly you really can't trust your own eyes and ears anywhere near as much as you think you can. Brains are messy. Also if I was born 100+ years earlier I would totally have been considered 'possessed', I'm glad I wasn't tbh.

I used to believe in angels and possibly aliens when I was younger, but now I don't believe in any of what you mentioned. None of it exists in reality, it all only exists as entertainment.

I don't think so? I mean, have I been absolutely convinced there is something lurking in the darkness of my room waiting to rend me limb from limb: yes. Do I think that the shadow-lurking dismemberer is a real thing that needs to be studied: no.
Most of the 'evidence' I see for this sort of thing is insanely shaky, to be honest. I'd sort of like to believe in ghosts and the supernatural and whatever, but... I don't think I do.

I believe there's life in the universe other than on earth. I doubt it's abducting humans to probe or mutilating cattle or concerned with or aware of Earth/humans specifically at all, I just think it would be really bizarre if life only evolved on one planet out of billions (trillions? idk.)

I don't believe in anything supernatural, religious, or spiritual.
