133. I don’t read those fics since I’m a Sanzo/Goku Hakkai/Gojyo fan, but I do tend to think at least some people write them just because in the anime Goku looks really young. In the later chapters of the manga, he looks older and if I’m reading fic with him in it, that’s how I picture him. If I’d only seen him in the anime, I’d be prone to leaving him out of ship fic too since he looks like he’s 12.

102. I haven't seen the show, but I've known of them for years now. Does that count? (Big comedy fan ^_^)

105. ...In two seasons of Torchwood, there's been exactly ONE sex scene, between Owen and a guest character. Which had consequences (several, major) throughout the rest of the season, so it wasn't exactly a shag for titilation's sake. Since then, there's been some snogging. That's... really about it. Doctor Who has just finished its THIRTIETH season. I'm not surprised some bits can be repetitive. Okay, yes, some plot holes, but that just gives you an excuse to work ways around it! Life on Mars was never promoted as science fiction. And Primeval wasn't on the BBC.

In conclusion, what shows were you watching? I was watching Doctor Who, Torchwood, and Life on Mars...

(OP here) How the fuck is het the subject of my secret?

With less sarcasm, what I'm saying is that character interactions are what should be most important in shipping, not gender. Let's say characters A and B are male and C and D are female. If I ship characters A&B AND B&C AND C&D (very likely, since I have few OTPs), in my experience, it's infinitely easier to find fic for A&B (slash) and B&C (het) than C&D (femmeslash). What I'm observing is that femmeslash is seriously underrepresented, and IMO these differences really shouldn't exist.

But you are correct in the observation that my aside about femmeslash is extremely tangential, and I'm really regretting having put that in there on a whim. Especially since I was trying (and apparently failing) to be succinct.

184) I think that depends on definition of "scared" here. If someone has never been like "FFFFUUUU" or jumped at something I am to assume they are either lying to look macho or played using a guide in which they were warned about so and so bursting through a wall or window out of nowhere. Unless scared means pissed your pants, never played passed the first zombie and had nightmares for days, a case in which I would be considered macho.

The Scream Awards from last year in LA- a few months ago, I think. Jared was there to promote Friday the 13th and JDM was there for Watchmen. The story is that this is outside the theater and Jared stopped the driver that was bringing him to the red carpet outside and jumped out when he saw Jeffrey Dean - then the massive hug happened ;-)
There is another hug and more interaction later on the red carpet when JDM was behind Jared as he was giving an interview and he turns around and sees him.
Just google Scream Awards 08 and Jared or JDM and you should be able to find the video and more pics ;-)
