I can relate so damn hard. Personally, I hate what I draw. Not all the time, but usually they're just doodles on scraps of paper, and people tell me it's so good and they wish they could do that. I don't know what to say to that because I have no idea why they think that.

Resident Evil has always been more about Shoot Em Up and the occasional popout scare than that sort of looming sense of dread and the fact that something out there hates you in a passive/aggressive way you get out of Silent Hill or Fatal Frame. I've been mildly surprised a couple times when things have come bursting through windows or on fire out of ovens, but *shakes head* if I want to be scared, I'll play SH or Fatal Frame. And even then it's starting to wear off. (Though I still hesitate doing the beneath-the-floor missions in 3 with Miku. FUCK THAT CRAWLING GHOST. FUCK HER A LOT.)

Well, the mangaka seems to have no idea how katakana and (what we presume to be) German pronunciation line up. The names are made up, so they're all katakana, of course, but she assigns them romaji names as well (in author's notes, etc.) that frequently don't much resemble how they're said in Japanese.

The two main characters are pretty much okay: Blood and Ishuca. Important Secondary Character #2, Rapunzel, is also okay. Important Secondary Character #1, however, has two canon romaji spellings, Wild and Wird, both of which the mangaka has used in-text. Of course, the katakana pronunciation sounds more like "Virt" to English-speakers (a passable transliteration of the German pronunciation of "wird," I guess). Minor character Nachte/Night also has two canon romaji spellings, plus the katakana transcription of Nei. Then there are tons of other minor characters whose romaji versus katakana names don't match up at all, for example Saphir (romaji) versus Zaha (katakana).

There isn't much of a fandom, but you find the right people, and they'll still use different spellings left, right, and center. Most of the people I've talked to just go with it and let it slide. I mean, you can't blame us for the fact that the mangaka is OUT OF HER FREAKING MIND.

143. I think it's a personal satisfaction thing if you have someone beta read but no one can tell. Though, really, a good way to beta read is just to sit on something for a couple of hours (a day or two is better though) and then re-read what you wrote. I use that cheat all the time. (WRITING H4X)

Race encompasses the common physical traits shared by a group of people from (or who have ancestors from) the same geographical location; nationality, on the other hand, has to do with the country itself, and the culture, language, and customs of that country. They are not the same thing. I'm kind of sensitive about it, because one of the nations that I identify with is often talked about as a 'race'--and usually by people who hate us.

That being said, I don't have an adequate knowledge of the series, so I can't agree or disagree with your accusations. But I do know enough about it to disagree with your terminology.

I don't want to bring your hopes down but waiting for someone like that to show up just one day is not very likely to happen. If you want to change things, you'll have to do it yourself.
Back at school, I was picked on (by a teacher, no less) occasionally and I've seen lots of other people being victims of bullying. It's really hard to deal with it since it's nearly impossible to find a GOOD permanent solution. Perhaps changing schools would help? I've heard some people have benefited from that. Other than that, I can't really say much, except don't give in!
