Big problem with your argument right there? Primeval wasn't made by the BBC. It was made by ITV, a different channel.

BBCAmerica=/=BBC. Perhaps you want to do a bit more research before making sweeping statements?

Technically it was made by Impossible Pictures (an independent company) for ITV. But yes if you're going to argue BBC can't make sci fi it might be a good idea to at least know what sci fi BBC makes.
