As much as I LOVE Wincest, I've never been a fan of the underage stuff. Like the ages they were in the flashbacks in this week's ep. To me it seems more improbable than Dean turning evil and Sam turning uber-good in the end. Even if Dean felt that way about his brother at that time, or vice versa and Sam came to Dean, knowing what we know about Dean's character/personality I can't see him allowing anything remotely questionable to happen.

I'm not saying I have a problem with it, it's just not my cup of tea, in any fandom for that matter.

What show are you watching? Because the BSG I'm watching seems headed towards every character being either dead or broken. It's kind of a trend for the show. They kill people off. Or fuck them up.

I will be so damn shocked if anyone gets a happy ending at all, let alone those two. Except maybe Baltar. They started him out messed up and he seems to have reached the top of Crazy Hill and started down the other side.

There, that's it. Baltar and his congregation/harem will find somewhere to settle and live happily ever after. Everyone else will die or be insane. The end!

164 - I'm afraid Eva was ruined for me. I couldn't get past the first ten episodes because I just couldn't find any of the characters particularly likable besides Pen-pen--and not even Pen-pen is gonna get me to watch the rest of it. Add that in to the spoilers I saw of him jacking off over Asuka's unconscious body in the hospital...yeah, I can't help but find him to be an irritating and disgusting prick. I obviously don't care for Asuka much either (and I know about her past--it still doesn't excuse her constant bitch-ery), but there are just things you don't fucking do. -_-

117. Hey, I'm one of the pretentious book!fans that get pissy if you like the movie. However, I agree that the book and movie are TWO DIFFERENT UNIVERSES. The movie is okay by itself - pretty, at least and the music is quite good. If you claim to like the movie and the book, I assume you read the book second.

Also, as for the fact that book!Howl is a dick, that's kinda the point. I consider a preference for movie!Howl saying you prefer shiny bishonen over actual personality and back story. That makes me angry more than anything.

The book has a fantasy universe and humour behind it (please read Castle in the Air and House of Many Ways - not many people know there are sequels because major bookstore chains don't carry them) and the movie is a platform for Miyazaki's personal anti-war messages. Not that there's anything wrong with that, they're just two very different stories.

TL;DR: You're perfectly allowed to like the movie, I just don't think the two are comparable. And I judge you.

Agreed. I love them both; Miyazaki is my favorite director and Diana is my favorite author. I have a policy when seeing adaptations and remakes: treat them as seperate from the source material. :)

The way it's been hyped, I would be more than mildly disgusted with the writing staff if it went through. And even then, it might be another little stint like that time Bruce broke his back and had the replacement Batman on the prowl

Also just go to a comic store and flip to the last page of Final Crisis 7. There's hope.
