If I posted my work without comment, I would be boasting and implying that I think I'm better than everyone else. Kind of with you there. Many times I feel like those slash goggles that half of every fandom is wearing makes them unable to see friendships.
But you know, that's kind of true for het and femslash, too, nowadays. When two people are close, let it be because they are siblings or friends, there will always be people who think that strong feelings are bound to be accompanied by romantic feelings/sexual desires.

Who the fuck cares?

People have for even longer been shipping het friendships like crazy, but you don't see anyone complaining about that.

I feel compelled to say: everyone calm down. Rosie's not a homophobe, she's just not a big fan of pairings, slash or otherwise, that she can't personally see.

Different people have different views of what a canon pairing is anyway. For example Jack/Ianto were canon beause we saw them kiss then why aren't Jack/Gwen. We saw them do that too! Jack/Ianto joke about their sex life and yet it comes across as Jack is jealous of Gwen's engagement.

People are going to defend whichever pairing they personally find most attractive. Just because you happen to like one pairing more than other, doesn't mean you're a homophobe.

By the way, everyone, this is in response to my comment a few pages back. XD

111--It's great, isn't it? The Phoenix Wright Kink Meme made me interested in fandom, but (here we go XP) the Hetalia community has gotten me to actually participate. It's wonderful.

138--WIZARD ROCK FUCKING WINS. XD No, really. Seriously, I got Jingle Spells the other year, and I think it's awesome! My cousin still has it, so I don't listen to it as often as I used to, but I think it's a great side of fandom, and one that very few fandoms get to have. Rock on!

139--When was that? I kind of remember it, but...it's been a while.

167--I showed up a little late to the AA party, and since I haven't played AJ, I've been spoiled to death and rather unenthusiastic. But I love how many AA fans have gotten into Hetalia. It makes me proud to be a part of something so awesome (and gives me hope for the kink meme...).

As a fanartist - but not a popular one! - I generally do tend to say that. I like my art, but I think it could be better, and sometimes I post things I do think are ugly but that I think other people might appreciate seeing.

And sometimes I am fishing for compliments. So what? I like compliments, and you'd be surprised how reluctant people are to give them, even if they do like the work.

105. You know, it didn't even occur to me, but I LOVE this ship too. I rewatched it and was like whoa, it is practically canon.
