I wish Torchwood fandom had even the vaguest concept of spoilers. I've been dodging spoilers for series three since series two finale, and I've been spoiled for at least two of the series' main plot points. At this rate I may not even bother watching it.

Guys, not everyone wants to know what's happening in the next series before watching it. Not everyone is reading the spoilers. We currently seem to be a minority, but seriously, it is really so hard to use lj cuts or spoiler tags?

Because canons treat females as inherently sexual to the point of forcing romantic relationships that would be seen as fraternisation or sexual harassment in the real world, yet in most media fandoms confine men to being friends with each other?

Aaah, the McDean love here today! <3 (It feels like there's been at least one Hollyoaks secret each week since I got into JP/Craig last month but maybe it's just that I haven't noticed them before XD.)

Also, hi, 108, I'm that secret's OP :D and all I can say is WORD. I've been neglecting schoolwork these past three weeks or so, reading through interviews and articles and often not-so-good fanfic (but it's worth finding the absolute gems in there) because I just desperately need them to be happy and perfect and together forever. I've also been in varoious fandoms over the time but this is the one relationship that just *has* to work. I don't know what I'd do with myself if the writers ever somehow broke them up. So I guess we can be pathetic like that together ;D ♥.

121. If you think American humor is mostly slapstick then you need to get out more. Or at least to more comedy clubs. We have every source of humor here because we have every sort of immigrant. Not only did they bring their clothing, food and languages here, they also brought their senses of humor.

What is funny in Minnesota isn't always funny in New York. What's funny in New York will get you a punched in the face in Alabama. And what's funny in Alabama will get a "tsk" and an eye roll in California.

With that said, I love those shows too.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I didn't actually watch the Japanese version, just saw the songs on youtube and that was more than enough to convince me that I didn't need to see it in its "purest" form.

Why is it that English dub actors get raged at if they don't perfectly inflect a Japanese name, but Japanese VAs can mangle English beyond recognition and it's made of awesome? Damn double standards of fantards.

Replace North America with Germany, and this secret could have been made by me :D I mean, I do love a LOT of US TV shows as well (even though I passionately HATE the ones you mentioned in the secret *lol*), but UK shows just do humor better. I mean, right?
I have almost no RL friends who like those shows. Didn't have any LJ friends for that either, but then I started a Nmtb friending meme and now I have quiet a few <3
