110. While I don't like the whole they're in a fucked-up relationship and drama of it all, I do agree that they need to end up together in the end in some way, or I'll rage somewhat. Although, if it some poignant ending like Paradise Kiss, then I forgive everything. No fiction should turn you off from men, however. Just the bad ones.

116. I agree. It's not sucking up. If you have mods that loves wanks or don't care about curbing it, you're going to have a wanky comm. If you have mods who want a comm with a pleasant experience, chances are the comm will end up that way.

120. The problem is that you (not you personally) think people who really respect your opinion when you say "XXX is shit!" and never seen the series. Actually, it better just to say, "It doesn't seem my thing, etc." I think making those kind of opinions about things without at least some knowledge of the subject is not a good thing to do.

122. I won't come down on a person if they are the rare one that actually likes Scrappy. Man, I use to HATE when a Scooby episode came up and he was in it. I usually skipped them more often than not. Although I did watch the Thirteen Ghost of Scooby Doo because no one can ruin Vincent Price's awesomeness. And I was a big Shaggy and Daphne fangirl (I don't ship them though). I think people are a little too uptight in their hate if they attack for for it.

And it's a world of difference for Relena and Scrappy IMO.

You shouldn't have mentioned your friends; people would have pounced on you less. I don't doubt it's true but people will always feel smug about it and pull out the 'doth protest too much' card to wave fanatically about as if it trumps your entire argument.

I agree with you about the abundance of slash. It's tiresome sometimes. The same pairings over and over and over again. That's what I'm guessing your secret implied so I'm sorry if I'm mistaken. But I'm lucky that my fandoms aren't restricted to simply slash pairings. It can still be tiresome seeing so much unoriginality being spewed up on a daily basis whether it's m/m, f/m and f/f. That's my problem with it - there's no new dynamics being explored. Too many write so-so NC-17 fics which read like the hundred others I've seen previously.

That doesn't mean it shouldn't exist, however. I like my plotty gen though not everyone else does, and I shouldn't expect them to. Can you just accept that slash is a huge part of fandom and let it go? People enjoy slash. Many people enjoy slash. I enjoy slash.

Sometimes BFF are simply BFF but fandom would be boring if no one explored the possibilities.
