Honestly I don't think there was a single person they could have chosen to be the final cylon that wouldn't have disappointed people. Everyone had been building up their own wishes and expectations and there was no way they could have chosen someone who could have made everyone happy. I didn't think the reveal was mind blowingly awesome, but I don't think it has to be for the storyline to work, and I'm looking forward to seeing the repercussions and what happens next.
