I listen to Arch Enemy, the Agonist, Children of Bodom, et cetera. Brother Firetribe is the 80est of power metal bands and I have absolutely no shame in listening to them. Neither should you.

My embarrassment came from the fact I didn't know very many fans of Brother Firetribe, and I wasn't sure how a serious metalhead would react to me listening to them. (I often say that "I feel like I'm sitting outside, looking through a door of a party I'll never be invited to" - with regards to being a part of metal fandom. It sounds cry moar, but I just feel so awkward.) Like, "You listen to Tarot, you listen to Sonata, you listen to whatever, but you listen to Brother Firetribe, lolwtf?"

FWIW, I'm starting to not care what people think I listen to anymore. It is taking a bit, but I think I've realized that it's more "metal" to just be yourself, even if that self is squeeing sighing stupid fangirl most of the time.

OH, I know. Brother Firetribe needs to tour the US.

And not being anon in this reply would be the first step to get over my shame in listening to BFT. :) Though sometimes their lyrics are kinda... cheesy, I adore them, and Pekka's voice is awesome.
