Just to warn you. Its cute art wise and has its cute moments but its super sad and deep on the message. Definitely not something you'll be able to eat in a week without missing at least some of its meaning.

As someone who has been dumped for fandom by one of their very best friends, I can tell you how much it hurts to be left for something like that. It's incredibly cruel and you may not think too terribly much of it, but when your friend figures out that they were dumped for whatever tv show, whatever anime, whatever band, just whatever it is you're dumping them for not only will it hurt like mad, but it will reflect so badly back onto you for a myriad of reasons.

Besides, you'll be left with what, then? Another group of friends who may or may not love you beyond whatever interest you share? What happens when you leave that fandom? You go crawling back to your old friends? Sure, you might make a great friend in that fandom but it can be hard to make good, solid friends regardless of where you're doing it. If it's new friends you want, make new friends but don't just be "Oh, I think I might be dumping my old friends for fandom..... it's scary but oh well!" about it.

Turn the damn computer off and go spend time with your friends. Don't make such an ignorant mistake as kicking the people who care about you to the curb for a hobby that you enjoy.

I don't think you're a horrible person, and I do think people should be informed, and I bet I'm going to fall into the category of "even more horrible than you" for saying this buuuut I think there are just some people who'll make horrible decisions no matter how 'informed' they are. 137 - It's not just an internet fandom thing. Lots of people are going to find a way to be ignorant one way or another. I don't think you're a horrible person for worrying about this sort of thing, though I wouldn't be so extreme to say that these fans are going to fuck up everything in the world. If they're the kind of people to focus more on a fandom than real life, then I don't think they're going to be the people who have enough power to change anything, much less fuck something up.

152 - That is such a ridiculous assumption. Muse was well-known enough before Twilight came along. I think most fans of theirs aren't going to be coming from Twilight. Muse was in the soundtrack, by the way, and Meyer adores them.
