I'm not sure... there's some good likeness, but it's not... quite right, I guess. Maybe for a Link, but not for TP!Link (whose sheer adorableness can't be replicated by real humans, quite frankly ^_~).

And because you're clearly open the the idea... XD For a Zelda movie, adapt one of the games (Twilight Princess would probably be best, especially with scenes that ended up getting cut out that'd be AWESOME in a movie, like a huge battle between Bulblins and Twili with Link on horseback) or do a new story that fits the film format better but is still definitely Zelda? >.> I've just been wondering.

I am somewhat ashamed (though clearly not ashamed enough to make this an anonymous post) that, at 25, he still scares the bejesus out of me. In fact, seeing your secret will probably prevent me from falling asleep tonight.

I have attempted to make this secret, however, on numerous occasions, so I'm glad to see that there is someone else out there with the same freaky-ass phobia. :)

I made a secret over a year ago about the whole corn field scene (still) scaring the bejeesus out of me... and I actually used a screenshot from that scene. I had to constantly cover the picture with one hand while I was making the secret, and on the occasional times I did glance at it I was horrified all over again.

Here's to you and me both having a hard time sleeping tonight. D:

120. All that opening remember did for me was to confirm how HAPPY I would have been to have Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway play the Phantom and Christine, respectively, in the 2004 film version (as was rumored/discussed over the years). :(

129. This makes me so, so sad to hear. I'm hopeful that you might still be open to taking a few classes at your local university/community college, and/or reading some feminist literature (a lot of people find feminism is for everybody a good place to start (though it's not my favorite--but totally accessible in language)). Remember feminism, like any politic group or way of thinking, is actually groups and ways of thinking. Lots of diversity, and--unfortunately--in-fighting. No one will like all feminists and feminists ways of thought; we are simply too diverse in our groups of people.

151. I left the theatre claiming that Saul was my ideal mate. Certainly I'd have to take care of him for the rest of his life, and remind him to bathe and such, but he was just so gentle and kind. :)

TB#3: YES.

E.T. is a special, strange case for me. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the movie, however, E.T. the character still freaks me out.

Whenever I first watch him (after a long absence of not seeing him) I get freaked out by his appearance. About middle of the movie, where he's goofing around in the home and drinking beer, I get used to seeing him and actually think he's kinda cute. But then he gets sick and white and moaning and REACHING FOR YOU FROM THE BATHROOM FLOOR and I'm freaked out all over again (and crying b/c the part is so heart-wrenching when the mother takes Elliot away and E.T. starts crying out in pain). And then by the end of the movie when he's healthy again I'm fine and just about ready to huggle him too.

But I know that if I were to meet him in real life, no matter how kind-hearted he is, I would still be terrified. D:

Also, the whole corn-field scene when Elliot and E.T. first see each other and begin screaming?... scariest effin' part in the whole movie. I always hid behind the couch whenever I knew it was coming. The lawn-chair scene where you see an outline of E.T. slowly moving closer to Elliot is a close second, followed by the sick bathroom scene.

And, fuck, I now have to go to bed and my mind is in overdrive. I have a feeling I'll be sleeping with the covers over my head tonight, thank you.

I think the most interesting and scary thing is the end where ET points to Elliot's temple and says "I'll be right here." For years I thought it just meant Elliot would remember him, but then I remembered the pyschic link and now I wonder if Elliot is getting greetings from space on a daily basis, thirty years later.

Yeah, I've been doing this for years, with OTPs or my own characters in mind. It's a little strange for me to realize I probably couldn't fall asleep without it -- I haven't tried any other way in forever and I'm not about to start.

114. Amen. Fandom is supposed to be fun. For some their fun is writing fic and getting concrit to get better. For others, their fun is Mary Sues and what have you. It's okay to not like something, but it's not okay to be a jerk about it.

Oh, I am right there with you... alteast I was. I swear to god a few months back I was _this_ close to just saying "fuck it, I dont care anymore" But it turns out that no, there are some decent feminists not just IRL doing things to help the cause, but there are even some feminists in fandom showing the right attitude, and, well, shit, making me feel kinda proud to call myself one.

Unfortunatly, as in every aspect in life, this people are overshadowed by the arseholes.

I guess what im saying is not to give up on the ideals, there ARE some feminists out there who share them.

I think Rorschach is a great character but I'd love a bit more variety in the fandom; at the moment it's mostly people squeeing over him but hopefully that'll change soon. Also, the fandom's rather woobifed version of Rorschach isn't one I'm really interested in.

I'm of the rare breed that says 'If you don't like it, don't read it'. Constructive criticism is all and good, but hammering at someone like a rabid Simon Cowell and thinking you are a superiour being is hardly a method that makes the 'offender' see your point--Instead, you end up making them defensive and not apt to take your advice, even if it's fantastic.

I feel like telling some reviewers 'Get some people skillz, STAT!', but then I'd probably be told I spelled skills wrong and should quit the internet.

Nah, Vegeta was always cool :) I think in the Maijin Buu saga we saw the best of Vegeta: he turned really creepily evil then, which you didn't expect because you assumed he'd become all domesticated and such.

But I remember one instance in the saga when he finally admits to himself that Goku is better than him (and with a smile on his face, too!). I was ten at the time and I remember crying at that.

And he has fun in GT... with the whole Tom Selleck mustache thing.

I think he looks SO HOT in his glasses too! He needs to keep them on. :)

I mean, I've read the series, and I like it, AS A BOOK.
But when people start talking about it, and gushing over it, and going squirmy all over Edward. I makes me sick.

And the day the compared it to Harry Potter. I've officially hated the series. I mean, I don't even LIKE Bella. I hate her, she's such a bad example as a girl, and Edward. Don't get me started.

I just like the background characters. Who sadly don't have any inky glory because we're reading the bullshit that swirls around the mind of some co-dependant idiotic teen, who thinks she knows what she wants when she's only 17-19.

And, c'mon, New Moon, when Edward leaves her? And she goes into super-depression mode. For the sake of girls.

I tell you. If somewhere in the book Edward said that breathing wasn't cool, and he doesn't do it. Most girls would be dead around the world. Oh, how I wish he said it.
