129. Look, I understand. The radicals are, let's face it, ridiculous. But feminism isn't something you give up on. You can't. If you're a woman, it's something you deal with every day of your life, whether you want to or not. And it sucks to have to deal with patriarchal bullshit AND radical feminist looking down on you because you don't life up to their ideal of what you should be. It's the same bullshit coming from both sides - both sides what to tell you what you can and cannot do. Actually, they cover that in Out Of Time, as I recall. Holograms do appear to age to keep the people around them from going crazy jealous. *nerds it up*

There are TONS of awesome people in the SPN fandom - don't let the fact that one person doesn't friend you back [you're not the only one, and I don't think it's anything personal, some people only want their flists so big] affect the way you participate. I'd rather find friends I can talk to and comment with than be friended by someone who'll likely never comment on my posts. Friendship = still a two way street.

153 I think it's pretty obvious that there'll be a Lee x Kara end (if Kara ends up with anyone). However, I almost cried when Anders got shot because I could totally relate to Kara in that scene. All I could think about was the few times when my husband was having a serious asthma attack and I couldn't really do anything to help. I guess I can just relate to that feeling of helplessness when something life-threatening happens to a loved one.

105. Man, sorry he freaks you out so much. Those of us who found him adorable got a really freaking fantastic movie out of the deal. (Not even Spielberg can out-Spielberg Spielberg these days. When was the last time a movie that made a billion dollars this heartwarming or fantastically exciting? Get back on the ball, Steven; we need you!)

119. American version got officially boned by ABC today. Not only is it a real blow to the film economy in New York, I'm personally annoyed that it didn't get more of a chance. When it was good, it was fantastic. That "Little Willy" chase in the pilot was leagues beyond anything else concurrent on American television.

145. Back to the Future is one of the few movies to raise goosebumps on my skin and make me giddy just thinking about it. I wanted to be Marty for much of my childhood, when I wasn't having delusions of Henry Jones, Jr., Peter Venkman, Alex Rogen, or William Thomas Riker. Marty's the one I've copied the most in my life, taking up the guitar and listening to the same music and trying (and failing) to learn how to ride. McFly is the all-American hero, the local boy who makes more than good, and I don't think there's been a more active main character in Hollywood film since. Man, I just love the hell out of that movie and that character, especially after the sequels and the TV series. Where a lot of characters fold under pressure, or mope around, or just wait for things to happen to them, or resort to violence, Marty always acted, and did so without the usual brute-force histrionics of the post-modern protagonist. (In other words, next filmmaker to create a movie even close to as good as Back to the Future gets my undying devotion.)

I'm not certain who I'm more pissed off with now. Ass Bastard Cunt network, or the American public. The frickin' Godawful Bachelor can run for X>0 too many seasons, yet "Life On Mars" can only get 17 episodes? Ugh, too many intriguing series with well-written plots and awesome characters are getting axed while reality shows stay on the high-rise (I feel slightly guilty though b/c I do enjoy DWTS).

Well, at least the series will get to finish. I should be grateful for that.

114. See, here's the deal, OP. Once you place your work out to the viewing public, it will be judged. No ifs, ands, or buts. If you do not wish your talent (or lack thereof) to be commented on in any way, keep your fandom stuff to your damned self. People need to learn that you can't always be given a pat on the head, and you're not entitled to people liking what you do --or them being quiet about their dislike--, just as much as the rest of fandom is not entitled to expect everything out there to be made of gold.

So say you're 13, and this is your first fic; yeah it isn't good but that's no reason that people should turn you into a focal point for mockery. Unless you're going on about how great you are, but that's something else.
The point this OP is making is just a long version of, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all".

Look, I am not a slash fan (as in I don't fan slash because it is slash and I don't go looking to slash anything), but all I can think about this secret is "CRY MOAR", no one is obligated to read or review your fic. You write something that is less popular you need to just accept that your fic won't have as wide an audience. And who is to say if they do read it that they will like it.

Also plenty of fans like gen, but gen is a pretty broad category, some types of gen are more popular then others.
