111. I dunno. I wouldn't say they're all homophobes. It's just really hard to find non-slash fic in the fandom so it all gets posted there and the people into het can get it all in one place. They probably could've named it and worded the info better though. Haven sounds like they're trying to protect you from TEH GAI!

Mikey and Ben are pretty adorable, but Brian & Justin just... they had a lot of stuff they had to overcome, you know?
Justin getting abandoned by his dad, Justin getting bashed, Brian's arrogance and commitment issues, PAGANINI JUNIOR D:, Brain's cancer, Stockwell and intolerance in general. Just to, you now, name a few ;)
For them to have any type of relationship at all after all that just says to me that there's something deep there, more than just sex and all that. Just IMO, of course.

105. ME TOO. Good lord, nobody gets it except my sister-in-law. Because she hates him as well. My family thinks it's crazy. No, I would not want to be friends with that creepy alien. He isn't cute. He isn't sweet.

152. I don't even keep up with the fandom. I'm in a community because when everything started I was reading all the articles and watching all the promos. Then the TV started doing it for me so I stopped. I rarely ever check it. The only Watchmen fans I know right now are the comic purists who refuse to see the movie because of Alan Moore's wishes. (Except me. Damn. I can't resist. So many colors.) I do have to say, I love how people give the characters redeeming factors. They're all horrible people. There's no hiding it. Some have better reasons than others but it doesn't change the fact.

Have you ever noticed that all the newer comic book movies have crazy fans though? Like The Dark Knight. I didn't even want to go near that movie because of all the Joker fans. It was a good movie, but man they were scary. And Iron Man? Maybe I'm just an anti-social comic geek who wants to go sit in a corner alone. Or in my parent's basement. I don't know.

I love how people give the characters redeeming factors. They're all horrible people.
Eh? The redeeming factors are there in the comic. I'd argue Dan and Laurie aren't horrible people, first off--see the burning building rescue. As for Rorschach (and Ozymandias), the great thing about the comic is that it's not at all black and white. They do horrible things, but there are absolutely sympathetic aspects to them; they're both trying to save the world in their own way. That doesn't excuse them, and it doesn't mean they don't have ulterior motives, but that doesn't mean it's out-of-character to explore it. Hell, even the Comedian can be occasionally sympathetic in his attempts to reach out to Laurie, and there's no arguing he's not a terrible person.

Does the fandom go too far in making them sympathetic? Yeah (myself included), but it's just as silly to treat them as totally evil people as it is to treat them as totally good people.

SO I can't seem to understand what's to hate about this felid's artwork. The proportion of the limbs, use of line and shadow are all good. One a few of her pieces the shadowing seems to be a bit dodgey, like it can't decide which light source to come from. Admittedly the proportions can be a little odd when limbs start gettign tangled. It happens, man is not like unto a pretzel. The only thing that I dislike about the artwork is the exaggeration in the facial features. Mostly the noses make me go eh.

If its a dislike of the person themselves well thats personal opinion, but the anon's reaction to them in fandom is childish at best, but more like the way an alley cat reacts to having it's tail tied to another ally cat before they're thrown in a commercial sized dryer and set on tumble. Funny to watch at first until you realize that it's going to be like Thunder Dome before Mad Max was there to save the day.

Really my advice to the anon in all this is... You know that little red button with a white X in it at the top right corner of your screen. It makes the thingy you are looking at go away if you click it. Do you need help with how to click the little X? I can tell you that, too. In fact there's a number you can call 1-800-GEEKSQUAD (1-800-433-5778) it'll cost you but you don't strike me as the smart type so I doubt you knwo the value of quality anything. I know that's a lot to take in so if you have trouble with it you can ask your nearest 5 year old for help. They're probably more tech savvy than you anyway.
