115. ... You know, a lot of the people I see who are into slash and are in slash communities don't think of it as a way of life. 124. Oh, goodie, a dumbass. Well, now that you have figured out why everyone who likes this comic likes it, when it is obviously horrible just because you don't like it, I am totally ashamed. You have shown me the light, obviously.

Despite the fact that, you know, if you pay attention to anything, Jhonen has repeatedly said that the people who idolize Johnny creep him out because Nny is not right, or okay in the head. It's not a deep work of art, but it's interesting and fun -- but oops, sorry, things can't be good if they're just for fun, and I'm stupid for thinking this comic could be any fun anyway, because it disagrees with your opinion.

Also, lol at Nny being a Mary Sue. Yeah, when Jhonen has totally, actually, self-inserted into his comics just for the lulz, Johnny is a Mary Sue. Despite doing things that Jhonen doesn't actually want to do. And when he's gotten the shit kicked out of him before. Oh, and when he's totally fucked up in the head to the extent where even he knows there's something seriously fucked up with himself. But of course I only pretend to see flaws in his character because I'm a sparkly fangirl who wants his pen-and-ink dick.

Less tl;dr your goddamn opinion =/= truth, genius. You don't like it? Good for you, it's not for you. Other people like it and they're not dumber than you just because they don't follow your opinion about every little thing like zombies.

Editing to add, though most of the above still holds true: I totally forgot that the prologue pretty much did state that Jhonen was having Johnny killing off the types of people who pissed him off IRL. This still does not equal out to Nny being a Mary Sue, though, seeing as I highly doubt Jhonen really wants to kill anyone in real life, seeing as how he obviously knows full well that Johnny is fucked up and not a good person at all. Hell, as I said, even Johnny knows this. And you're still a bit of a douche for deciding that everyone who doesn't hate the series like you do is stupid because the series automatically sucks if you think it does. (Even though, eeyowch, I wouldn't touch JtHM fandom with a ten foot pole at this point. The fact that it's full of the people the comic was making fun of in the first place is kind of... depressing.)

140. Meh, maybe 80%. 20% are either real secrets, or made by people who are keeping it secret for weird reasons -- like actually being afraid to admit their OTP or whatever, even if no one would care. People are illogical. :|

But think about it this way: you want to keep living because there's something out there you enjoy and want to do. Good. Great. That's what life is about. Do you like listening to music? Do you like watching movies? Do you like talking to your friends? Do you like experiencing things?

That's what life is, an experience. Experience it. Make it awesome for yourself. If living is "pointless," dying is even more so. With living, you have what you love. So keep on it!

I mean any fic in which the characters abruptly switch to first names (with or without reason) and there's no transition time, no stumbling over names as they adjust, no discussion of the transition, not even a single thought or a single sentence about the switch, it's just sudden there, boom, and that's it. I can deal just fine when there's at least some recognition of the fact that you just can't change all of a sudden without a single hitch or consideration of what it means. But I need something, and far too often there's nothing.

Bono has struggled with faith in God for most of his life, so perhaps if you really really listen to what it is he's singing (especially if you listen to their old CD "October", in which every single song is about God in some way) and also read anything that he's written, you will feel better.

I totally know where you are coming from. I lost faith and I was contemplating killing myself. Once I regained my faith, I began to value my life again. I suggest, as well as hearing what Bono has to say on the subject, you do some research into near-death experiences and talk to a minister or someone who can restore your faith in God.

JTHM depends on how you read it. Honest to God, it's terribly shitty if you take it seriously, and it IS soapboxing (and I will be the first person to tell you- that Jhonen is an absolute dick, really, he spends his time on twitter trying to sound cool and unique instead of just acting like a dude, using his 'prolific' wording just as Johnny tends to; he can, however, be cool to his friends, but even then I've heard some ghastly tales of jerkishness!) in that respect.
But if you read it as a satire on the batshit people who invent their own problems and blow them up, it's a little entertaining. If you picture everything around Nny as absolute bullshit, not real, fabricated by him and some sort of wanton need to be crazy, we have something!
