Just to clarify - it's my intention to make all the secrets left in this thread, so even if they're not marked claimed, they will be made.

I'll monitor this thread until tomorrow's secret post goes up, so feel free to leave your comments until then!

It seems D&D is on the upswing again. And people seem to love goofy fun games too. Yet with all this new attention, and especially with the focus on fun, nobody is running Gamma World games. Why does nobody want to play Gamma World? Gamma World, especially 2nd Edition, was hilarious.

Disney's next live action remake ought to be a reboot of Song of the South, specifically, they should hire Jordan Peele and give him free rein to do it right as he sees fit. I don't know what it would look like, but I know I'd watch it.

In Star Trek Voyager fanfic, it was not an uncommon plot bunny to have characters using the mess hall for sex. All I can think is that even with sweaty butt marks on the tables, it was still less gross than Neelix's cooking.

They should do a Bosom Buddies reboot for tv's next big sitcom, but the twist is that during the series one of them will discover they were trans and repressing, and want to transition. The other freaks out over it, naturally.

I've really been enjoying Critical Role's cartoon, The Legend of Vox Machina, and I enjoyed the graphic novel they made too, but, boy howdy, does their regular youtube content just stink.

This might be the biggest piece of fandom heresy I ever uttered, and one that is most likely to get me hunted down and hanged from the rafters, but I didn't like Josh Kirby's Discworld cover art, it looks so awful that it put me off trying the books in my local library for the longest time.

When I tell that I am hanging in there by a thread so that I'm able to see the new seasons of Barry and Stranger Things (and possibly stumble upon other good TV shows wherever I find them), I literally mean it. Escaping into fandom is saving my life.

Every time talk of an adaptation of Iain M Banks "The Culture" works come up I worry that if they move forward they won't get the ship names right, they'll all have too much gravitas.

I want to like fandom spaces on Reddit but they feel kinda astroturffey.

For example, he MCU sub had a post where the OP stated a preference for the films where the director's voice came through. Among these "less mediocre" films? Iron Man 3 and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

It's like all those think-pieces about how the Star Wars Prequels are better than we remeber... right after Disney paid 1 billion dollars for them.

It's so fake. I prefer my fandom under a rock where producers won't look.

I respect Hockey RPF writers. From a distance. I don't understand them, but they do good stuff in other fandoms.

But I would give a lobe of my liver for more Olympics AU PWP fic. All fandoms, all pairings. Everyone is in great shape and under high pressure and running through condoms like there's another medal on the line.

(Every 2-4 years I sort my favs into events like Hogwarts houses.)

I'd love to see an animated version of the Pyanfar Chanur books. They have the technology now! Animation isn't considered solely for kids! And...

I believe that people should be able to alter their physical appearance through surgery if they aren’t happy with it, as long as they aren’t doing themselves serious harm. But when an actor or musician does it and it makes their features look stretched, distorted, or otherwise unnatural to me, it can be so off-putting to me that I can’t watch their stuff after the modifications. (I don’t generally have this issue with changes due to illness or injury, though serious scarring can sometimes be difficult to look at because I tend to imagine the related pain and trauma.) It is what it is, but it feels really shallow of me. Specific celebrities include Nicole Kidman and Courtney Cox, though neither have anything on what went on with Kenny Rogers.

I agree that the way some people behaved in the comments under the US Genshin account's Ayato design reveal tweet was pretty shitty (throwing insults and being rude in general) but the way some others now act like it's some sort of sacrilege to not be 100% thrilled about the design is really stupid as well.
It's okay to not like a design or to like the fan designs better! Especially since the official designers just can't stop giving male characters the same bland mullet-with-tiny-rat's-tail hairstyle.

[Fandom:MHA, character: All Might]

I love All Might -- he's so good and wholesome, looks good beefy or jerky (imo), but when I think a little too much about it, I start getting Dumbledore vibes about him -- post Deathly Hallows Dumbledore-- where I just feel like he's not as good as he makes himself seem. And it bothers me. On the other hand, it almost makes him a little more human, as he's not actually perfect, he's trying just as hard as anyone else to be good, but he's not impervious to mistakes. And really, it's people making a god out of a man with foibles of his own. All of Hero society and the public out him on a pedestal. But I guess part of me just wishes he'd say it out loud.

I’m always going to be a little sad and resentful that the Yakuza/Ryu ga Gotoku series didn’t get popular in the West until later. Just in general, but especially because if it had, we could have gotten dubs for the rest of the games before 7. Yes, the dub in the first was bad and filled with minor celebrities who couldn’t voice act, but I loved it’s cheesiness! The JP tract is still great tho.

I’m still happy it is popular now, and I don’t resent buyers for it not taking off right away, I blame advertisers. Magazines described the first game as “like a Japanese GTA”. Yeah, no.

Fandom is the webcomic Ménage à 3

I’m still salty that the comic ended without Gary & Zee ever getting together once. All the build up of them being into each other and nothing ever came of it! Practically everyone gets with everyone else in succession, and most of these pairings don’t have half of the buildup these two did.

Also Zee & Didi being treated like a romantic endgame despite Zee’s feelings only being portrayed as lust before, and Didi not even considering her before in her quest for an orgasm. And Peggy is a fine enough character I guess, but her & Gary are so boring! And the “Peggy likes pegging” joke is dumb.

S!b It’s a dumb webcomic that’s not considered very good to begin with. And yeah, it’s dumb fluff whose main appeal is Gisele’s art, but I still can’t get over the crap endgame couples. At least there’s the spin-offs.

I utterly failed to take to Doctor Who
but I'm still going to knit myself a copy of every single one of the Fourth Doctor's fabulous scarves

I don't think you could have a female James Bond, but if it was attempted, the only possible fictional woman you could use as a template or comparison would be Eda Blackwater from Black Lagoon.

Every other "strong, damaged, sexually open woman" example focuses too much on the damage making them vulnerable, weak, or in need of healing sex.

Eda just owns it.

Emmerdale and Coronation Street were regular watching for me and my parents since I was a kid up to when my father passed away. I haven't watched them since then. Haven't been able to.

Sometimes I go onto Wikipedia to read up on what happened to familiar characters. It feels like reading the Facebooks of people I've lost touch with, seeing how their lives developed since I saw them last.

I will never-ever understand why so many Star Trek fans seem to actively hate Gene Rodenberry, especially the TNG-DS9-VOY era fans.
