I am in the same place as you are and it's kind of a horrible feeling. I just want to feel passionate about something again. My main fandom burned me out so badly and now I just feel lost. I hope you find something to bring your muse and your fan spirit back around.

I'm still reading fic and enjoying art in my last big fandom, but the fandom itself isn't fun anymore and I'm not gonna pay for further installments because Gaiman turned out to be a serial rapist.

I'm honestly surprised I found something else that I was excited to create fanwork for so soon after that; I still read fic and do cosplay for a fandom I've been into for 30 years, and I can count the fandoms and ships I've been a hardcore fan of on one hand.

I'm enjoying writing fic for my new hyperfixation, but there's just over 200 fics for it on all of Ao3. Sigh.

It might just be where you are in life at the moment? I went through a period of 7 or 8 years where my fannishness waned and then just was gone for a while. And then I played a video game and my fandom brain exploded about it, which I think was the combination of encountering something I could be fannish about when I was in a place in my life where I could be fannish. There's a huge awkward "gap" in my AO3 accounts (for example) because of that long period, but the fannishness did eventually come back. But my life circumstances needed to change pretty drastically for that to happen.

I have an obsession but goddamn, also writer's block, or at least something that is making writing very, very slow and of bad quality. So I guess I shouldn't complain, but goddamnit, why can't the words on paper (okay, word processor) match the awesome story and images I have in my head?

Every country I lived in has bordered the Pacific and put that in the centre of its maps, so it was really weird online to see so many maps that split up the Pacific (which is full of countries) rather than the Atlantic (which has a nice empty space right down the middle).

I am mixed on the overall design of Crash 4 Tawna. Like, I love the bomber jacket and the hair is cool, but man, I do not like the leg warmers. Plus I'm kind of ehhhhh to blue/yellow color combos, so the hair dye doesn't work for me.

Also, while I'm here: I'm kinda sorta mixed on Alt Tawna as a whole. I think she's awesome and I've always wanted Tawna to be done justice, but I have personal hangups and a lot of questions concerning alternate versions of characters essentially "replacing" or existing in the same plane as the "Prime" characters because I'll inevitably just be all, "but what about the original?" And in the case of OG Tawna, she's still around and just kind of brushed off. Which sucks because I felt like the Crash Team Racing remake was trying to make her more of a bolder, active character and I wanted to see that.

Maybe I would have accepted Alt Tawna wholeheartedly if OG Tawna and Crash (and Coco) had a better parting rather than a one-sentence explanation on them losing touch in Crash 4. I waited over 25 years for Tawna to be done justice and while they essentially did, it's not the "original" and... yeah, I recognize that's a me problem, but it is.

...Yes, I have a lot of feelings about the dang Crash Bandicoot games.

Because the idea that Rey was a nobody, nothing special, was rather novel in this series of films and for it to be retconned that she's the product of the most evillist evil mastermind, powerful last Sith lord does a disservice to the character and overall story?

The series finale of BSG was garbage. Talk about some anti-technological, Luddite nonsense. Everyone was dead in a year. The people who were already sick died even sooner than that. And that's the good ending. The other ending is the Colonials did what colonizers always do.
