I can't stand ad breaks. I try to have as many services ad free as much as possible. I instantly back out of any movie/show when I see ads popup (Amazon Prime).

I miss commercials sometimes. But I admit I do get really annoyed if I've paid for a streaming service and it has commercials in it. The whole thing was advertised as being better than cable because you wouldn't have commercials and could watch things any time anywhere and most of that has become a lie now. It just annoys me.

I got pretty used to them for so long that their general existence doesn’t bother me so much.

But inserting jarring breaks randomly into a show or movie is awful. It’s really not the same as TV shows that are actually cut around ad breaks or the ads before a film in the cinema.

I feel the same way, and I judge myself for it! Is my brain just that much corrupted by capitalism? Then again, I'm an old millennial who grew up watching broadcast tv, so commercial breaks are familiar.
