The secret above has me wondering. I don't usually see fandoms I don't want to because I search by characters or ships. Not generally by tags that could have a ton of fandoms (unless I'm making a rec post).

It's the inclusion of Bollywood that's throwing me. I run into a lot of anime and K-pop when trawling random tags, and if the OP had just mentioned them as specific examples of non-English megafandoms I'd understand their frustration... but I'm pretty sure I've never stumbled across Bollywood at all, much less excessively enough for it to be a problem.

Yeah, some guys appeal to me more with facial hair. I like Adam Driver clean shaven, but goodness, this photo of him with facial hair is looking really good.

If I remember, the meme suggests that kids crush on Legolas, young adults crush on Aragorn, but those over 30/approaching middle age prefer Sam.

Anyway, the younger generation tends to crush on pretty boys, because they often prioritize looks over character. (And I know someone is going to go "not me! I'm special! I've wanted to fuck Pippin from the very beginning so there!" and good for you, but obviously I'm not talking about the exceptions here.) That doesn't mean you can't crush on whoever you crush on, but kids don't tend to think about the long term, or whether or not there's anything there once you remove someone's good looks.

And of course, we can say this is fiction and not real life and who gives a fuck. I'm just saying there's a reason for that meme. As someone whose crushes still include the occasional pretty boy, I think it's pretty funny.

Are you just searching by tag for any random fic/fandom that pops up? Which, fair. I've definitely done that once in awhile but I've never had a problem with Asian media flooding the results. It's also just so random. Like I get now wanting certain fandoms that pop up all the time in your results, but just all of Asia?

People leaving a review for a book that's not out yet annoys me SO MUCH.

It has fallen down the "influencer" trash chute. I used to go to the reviews when I was thinking about checking out a new author/book but now it's just social media garbage words. People are all trying to sound clever and get likes and I just want you to tell me what you liked or disliked about a book.

There are a few places on GR that still has good genuine reviews without people trying to get followers, but it is getting rarer by the day.

Same. I don't understand people who read for tropes and go in fandom blind. That's not how fan fiction works!

I usually do character or ship. Sometimes, especially for slower or smaller fandoms, I'll just check the whole fandom tag and sort by last updated to see what's been posted.

Once in a blue moon I'll look for tags and sort by kudos or bookmarks, but I'm so picky about fandoms that's usually more frustrating than not. I tend to only do it for pretty small/obscure tags. For example, I did that awhile ago for age play because I was looking for the actual kink and all I kept finding in my fandom was age regression stuff, which is not my thing at all.

Literally any product that Bath and Body Works sells. Candles, febreze type air spray, body wash, perfume, lotion, soap, wall plug fragrances, car scent things. Even the little cosmetics bags, I do not need. I guess actually I will need hand soap at some point because I'm getting a little low on that but every other type of stuff they sell, somebody needs to stop me from buying.

Where do you go for book recs and/or book discussions?

I like to check out the reddit sub r/booksuggestions and r/BooksThatFeelLikeThis is sometimes fun. I don't really have a place for book discussions.

You're just doing fiction. If you don't have even a passing familiarity with the characters or the world, it's just fiction. No fan about it.

Deadline is fast approaching and I don't know how to choose health insurance. The one I chose last year ended up being trash so I definitely need a new plan but they are all so confusing and expensive and I have no idea what I'm doing. I hate it. I wish I could go without but I have a lot of health problems and can't really afford not to have any insurance.

I agree. I might just be petty, or selfish, or rude, but I would genuinely be pissed off if I were either A or C. Especially C since she bought everyone lunch. Homemade stuff like that, you can't just go to the grocery store and buy more, so yeah. B needs to stop.

If the assignment was to make SW accessible and enjoyable to outsiders in one self-contained movie arc well. Rian Johnson understood the assignment and bless him for it.
