I agree, it's like yes finally we're gonna get some character development and then what follows is more smut. It has potential but it's just not being used and I agree the sex is getting to be a bit too much.

Maybe it's because she presents herself well to people. No matter how hot you are, if you can't speak correctly or understand social cues then you are dead meat. Maybe people find her interesting and engaging and her looks are just the cherry on the cake.

What are you talking about? The kink meme is very active and each week there will be 200+ comments on the episode discussion post. As for fanfics, I get more hits, comments and kudos from this fandom than I do from any of my other fandoms, including Yuletide fics.

On the other hand, I've tried Tumblr before for T&B but all I found was re-posted art from Pixiv and macros.

There's all types in Japan, you know. I know a lot of young women who are totally gaga for K-pop idols and studying Korean and the whole nine yards but there's also a lot of old conservative racist stogers. Among young people I think people are more receptive than not, though.

If you want to go to Japan you have to accept the mixed bag. And honestly no foreigners are going to get fully "accepted" into Japan in the near future. They'll always see you as an outsider. And that goes for anyone who isn't 100% born and raised and ethnically Japanese. If you can handle that, though, you can still live well there and make lots of friends.

What do you mean he was miscast? Honestly, I think he was 100% perfect at playing a guy who's seventeen, been stuck at seventeen, and who's been a virgin that whole time. Plus I bet he's too polite to ever consider getting a prostitute to help him out with his ~problem, so he's been a virgin for how long?

(It's my headcanon that he's a frustrated virgin during all the books... Plus he lives with three other couples? Yeah... I think that Robert Pattinson was bloody brilliant at portraying this.) :3

I didn't mind Peeta that much. Sure, he has Sue-ish qualities, but I think he's completely overshadowed by the Sueness of Prim. Good god. Absolutely everyone nation-wide adores her, she's pretty (the more noble kind of pretty in this universe, not like Katniss or her father), she's a competent "born" healer, she's nice to everyone, she cares about all living things, and her main flaws are... being too compassionate (and that's Katniss speaking, who's rather cynical) and not being a person who could/would survive the hunger games, and not being a good hunter. Katniss mentioned that she gets scared easily, but this is contradicted by her rather brave actions in book 3, for example. And yes, this could count as character development, if only Prim had been a well-developed character to begin with. All we know about Prim is mainly from Katniss's gushing about her.

Also, she's named after a flower, but it's an innocent name, unlike Glimmer, or Cashmere, or whatever the people in district 1 and 2 were called.

You know, I lived in Japan for quite some time and never faced any outright hatred or malice. There was a lot of awkwardness, sure. But I think a lot of this "foreign hate" comes from a lack of understanding and a "freak out" that many Japanese people have when they are confronted with foreigners. Japanese Pride might sound like an outdated concet but it is still very relevant. Many Japanese people don't want to be made a fool of in front of others, and not being able to speak the appropriate language towards a foreigner embarasses many of them. So they come off as rude or aloof towards foreigners, instead of risking being made a fool of.

I think the worse I came across was when a landlord was unsure as to whether he wanted to let me rent his apartment or not because my "foreigness" might clash with the other tenants. But I explained that I could speak Japanese and that he was under no obligation to let me stay there if he truly was uncomfortable with it, so he ended up letting me live there and we are now quite close friends.

But apart from that, I think every foreigner should just accept that sadly, not everybody is going to accept them (not just in Japan, but in EVERY country). There are still many racists out there, but the vast majority of people ARE good people who do not harbor such thoughts.

I admit that I haven't played it in a while (I tend to watch my brother play most of the time as all of the gaming systems in the house are his) but I don't remember this being particularly easy or difficult. But, as I mentioned to cybersky, I've never been much of a gamer, so my opinion on what is or isn't difficult in a game is probably irrelevant.

You need better/more accepting friends.
My metal friends know about all of my horrible musical tastes, and all of them have equally embarrassing bands/genres that they like too. We'll poke fun at each other for certain things, but in the end no one gives much of a fuck regarding whether you listen to metal and kpop or just metal alone.
