I just watched The Terminator and Terminator 2 on Halloween, so The Hanged Man was perfect for my frame of mind. Dan's mission revolves around getting the camera back, and it's interesting enough, but the real meat of the episode centers on the 2007 happenings.

I...don't get it. I know some people think she's an 'immortal time traveler' but how? It was shown that she lived through the ages. Did she just port back to the time before life really started on land, land underwater/in mud, and then just come to? Did her device just explode or not come with her?

I also think it's odd that she's so...European looking millions of years before the first humans came to be (Who weren't Caucasian)

I just don't get it. :(

For some clarification, I was the Touhou/Homestuck secret OP and believe me when I say I was shocked by what I saw there.

Okay. On hindsight, I realized that I should have worded the secret more properly, but just because I like to ship some stuff doesn't mean I'm "shallow" or "peverted"! Have you considered that the OP didn't think of Tumblr when I wrote that (and just to make this clear, I DID know about Touhoustuck, but I couldn't help gasping and saying "is this it"? I know, I've been overestimated. Cry moar...). I am a human, you know! Not some emotionless doll!

I also saw some Tumblr-ites crying out "No! No!" to the crossover. Your reactions are why I made this secret in the first place. seriously, what is it with some people not being able to handle crossovers. What is it with people being unexceptible to other's thoughts (similarity here, I know.

But you know what, fuck it. I've lived my whole life in a large urban city in America. I have never had a racial slur used against me that targeted my people specifically (the worst I've been called is "whitey", I think). So when I hear that "kike" is an unacceptable slur, I have no reaction to it. If someone called me a kike I wouldn't get mad or scared, I'd be baffled. I don't even know what "kike" means, honestly. If you've never used a slur against you, how are you supposed to get offended when you hear it?

(BTW, this was one of the reasons I hated HP and the COS Movie having Hermione get offended about being called "mudblood". It made no sense.)

disclaimer: i'm not american and i live on the other side of the planet

of course i get that it's a racial slur (i don't live under a rock!), but if it weren't for american movies and music, i'd never even know the word existed - i've never heard the word used in real life, and the first time i saw reference to "the N word" on the internet i just thought "what N word?" (and i'm pretty sure 99% of people in my everyday life would still think the same thing)

my honest question is: why is it ok for black people to use it to refer to themselves or to others (if it is)?

all i know is that it's not ok for me to use it (which i wouldn't because it's not part of my vernacular), but i only know that because it's referred to as "the N word" with the inference being "don't say it"...why is it ok to misspell it (you know, double-g a s) like with "biatches", does that make it cute somehow? (i don't see how any of those are cute)

i've asked my real life friends the same thing, and we were all just stumped

A good rule of thumb is to never, ever use the word or refer to it (unless you're explicitly discussing its use in a social context, in which case you'd still be better off saying the "n-word").

I personally don't think that it's okay for anyone to use the word, but I suppose some SJW-types would call that "tone-policing."
