I get it. I love the beta kids. (John <3) I really missed them during act 5. I was looking forward to meeting the trolls. After a while, though, I was ready to see what the human kids were doing.

Suit yourself. By the time the focus switched to the trolls, I just wanted the kids to be out of the picture. John had stopped being amusing. Dave, while he'd finally stopped annoying me, I still wasn't a fan of. I loved Rose, and Jade, but the former was running in circles, and he barely had the latter do anything. So...Hooray for the trolls. (Whose society I find fascinating.)

I wouldn't tell them that, though. I can't make myself likable, so dissapearing is the next best thing.

I've been enjoying it. Usually, I just listen to music on runs. This is way more entertaining. It's my music AND a story.

Also, this spring (sometime next month), they're releasing Season 2!

1950s, yeah, I'd describe that as pretty bad. (Though it could be worse, it could always be worse...) I'm not an expert, either, but my impression is that by the 1980s things had at least started to change.

A relationship that seems genuine, not acted. And a lot of it is in the eye of the beholder. It might be easier for you to closely examine the actors that you think have the most chemistry.

I'm assuming this is from the Christmas Special? Wow, he looks emo there. It's like they concentrated all the sulky bitter emo of all the characters from the last season and a half and sculpted it into a facial expression. Could totally give David Tennant's 'standing in the rain looking drop-kicked into complete masochistic numbness' memetic gif a run for its money.

lol @ Cumberbottom. IDK how interesting or well written his character will be, but I found Nero boring as hell and still enjoyed the film; it'll probably be the same with Into Darkness.

As for Uhura, I think she'll have at least as much screen-time as last film (possibly more). The new female character will probably have little screen-time but if she lives maybe she'll be explored more in the next film?

But yea, the movie probably won't be a masterpiece, but I for one am okay with that. As long as it's fun to watch and keeps me interested I'll be pleased.

Really? I didn't interpret it that way at all. Obviously she won't actually rewrite the whole universe, or not permanently. This show has made a habit of surprising me in great ways that make beautiful sense in hindsight, so I'm betting there's an element that's already been set up that I haven't figured out yet. I do think it's an interesting sign that Razer maintained hope for Aya the longest, though, and that he used a Blue Lantern technique in this episode.

But either way, I'm going to be all right with the ending. Either we get a badass female villain who was a serious and permanent physical threat to the heroes and didn't get brought back to the side of good just because some dude is in love with her (which is rare enough that I'm okay with some of the other issues with it), or we get a heartwarming story about faith, hope, and love (which is getting rarer and rarer in superhero stories).

On another note, anybody else appreciate the John/Jon Stewart joke? And GUY GARDNER? GUY GARDNER, man. That guy!
