Maybe it's because that is his most possible real world look. The make-up and costumes feels comic book because he is a comic book villain. But a clean face psychopath? Maybe that hits a little too close to home in that he could happen in real life.

Oh, man, OP, I agree so hard. Wizard of Oz is very childish, and so are many of the people obsessed with the film. (I've known a lot of high-drama people that list it as their favorite movie.)

It really is one of the most blatant two-white-dudes MUST SHIP pairings I've seen. The characters have... one line of interaction (in which they're talking about Thor), and it's the second most popular ship in the fandom.

(That being said, I feel similarly about Loki/Tony, which is also on that list.)

I just don't get it. At all. My teacher's have tried to explain it, but I still don't get it.

So, do any of you guys get it? Do you have a tool or trick for doing it, or was it just memorization? Do you have a fandom reference?

I just really need to understand this concept, and for some reason it doesn't make any sense to me so far. =_=;

I'm generally in the camp of liking whatever spinoffs they decide to create for finished media, with the exception of a few... or at least trying them out. That said, I DO like this show and I really loved the original too (didn't read the comics thought). I'm just really glad that they gave us SOME kind of continuation since it just kind of ended so abruptly.

I got into two big fandoms recently and found myself perplexed at the main ships in both. Avengers was one. I can see where Steve/Tony is coming from, though it doesn't interest me personally, but Clint/Coulson? What? Is it something from the comics?

It's a comedy, your friends are supposed to laugh at it.

It seems to me that they're always pairing up a hilarious segment with a crappy one. Legendary sandwich: hilarious! Pie Bros: not so much. Drivers Ed: hilarious. Trigon episode: crap.

Oh well, I retain hope. It would be the first crappy DC cartoon in decades as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, I'd believe that. The implication is that the angels aren't on earth until the moment they attack, why would that be different for Kaworu? And his position is more about love than sex (otherwise he and Shinji would have had real physical contact in the series). Shinji seems to understand at least male masturbation, lmao, so he could totes take the lead in a physical encounter with Kaworu.
