2. I'm pretty sure this is a repeat.

11. I've never played a Final Fantasy game before, but OH GOD YUNA IS CUTE

22. lol yaoiponies

23. Repeat.

40. Repeat.

25. Hehe! I didn't really find either one of them scary; Kairo was more unsettling, and Pulse... might've been scarier if I hadn't been sporking it privately as I watched. XD But then I cannot criticise, because I preferred the remake of The Grudge to the original. Mostly I'm really excited to see more Asian horror secrets being posted!

33. I don't disagree with most of your points, but where are you getting that L has poor hygiene?

(Anonymous) 2007-12-05 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
I'm the 25 OP, hey. I'm so glad some people are commenting XD Just because I want to know I'm not the only one in an Asian horror movie fandom.

I liked Ju-on and The Grudge equally. I think Pulse/Kairo is the only such movie group where I actually prefer one over the other and I only recognized that because I had to watch them a bajillion times for a paper.

I could make a secret about being excited to see the One Missed Call remake and The Eye remake?

1. I can't say that I agree with the whole thing about losing your faith in humanity, because they are fictional characters, and there are people who are much worse. But I agree with the point behind it. Even though I only know about Light, I can't say I agree with him. I mean we have a justice system for a reason. Yes it is messy, and it fails and its not perfect, but than again people like Light wouldn't exact perfect justice either, and if I had to choose between a system that yes may be prone to corruption but still has a few checks and balances and a sociopathic tyrant who kills everyone named as a criminal, I think I would take the justice system which has at least a few checks and balances as well as a chance to right wrongful convictions and catch its mistakes.

46. I only ship MiroSan in Inuyasha (heck they were the only reason I followed it as long as I did), but I surely wouldn't jump on you for writing something different, and I think as long as the fic was decent people will read it.

Oh god, I saw some guy wearing that at my college campus once... I took a pic with my cellphone and then put it up on Flickr. XD I love Naruto as much as the next person but I'm not trying to go around and look like a geek about it. These are the people that make up the fans known as Narutards.

Re: 48

[identity profile] destructively.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
That's why I fucking love anime cons.

But even there, I am getting immensely sick of Narutards.

SERIOUSLY THERE ARE OTHER COSPLAY FANDOMS PEOPLE.

Honestly, to an extent I agree with 48. I'd never discount somebody as a person for wearing one, but everybody I have EVER met who wears those fucking headbands has been a fucktarded weeaboo of the highest degree.

8D I love agreeing with secrets.

2. I would have. Like. Nooooo money. Because Tite clothes are good clothes. all the fashions are represented too -- grunge, punk, street, bohemian, flashy, classy, exotic, uniforms, mix and match, work clothes, play clothes, sexy clothes, loli-style, and just good old-fashioned Asian casual. ♥ for a Kubo line.

7. ... Give Golden Sun a chance, if any. 8DDDD; That was the one game that every turn-based battle was at worst slightly irking, at best nail-bitingly hard and fun, and painlessly quick the rest of the time. ♥ Djinn and Summons.

8. ... lol, you too? x333

9. 8DDD; I think my brain still denies that that is a thong. I know it's true though. o-oh my god.

11. ♥ Hello, friend. 8D

13. ... Holy crappage, you too?

17. ... LOOOOOL. I remember crossing KH and HSM once. That was fun. 8D

7) Except for the puzzles. Oh, god. Some of those puzzles in the first game can go to hell.

OP here! The toy line was, yes! So was the cartoon! There were about 20 male ponies introduced, MAX, into the toy line, although that still gives quite a few characters to work with.

However, I use OCs 90% of the time I do manage to find RPers. It just feels like raping my childhood otherwise. >_> (Although Salty IS kind of butch...)

4. The ship wars are a bit ridiculous, but I think it comes down to preference and which version you're talking about. I prefer Mamoru in the manga 'cuz he's great but I prefer Seiya in the anime because Mamoru's an ASS and Seiya's hilarious.

19. In a good way? Or bad way?
I'm surprised my friend haven't called my out on making this, but it's not me xD; I fucking adore Renton.

48. I knew a guy that wore his. Every day. To college. I was never more ashamed to be a Naruto fan...

In a good way. In an, "OMG my little boy is a man!" way, in a "Good God, this is romantic of him!" way and in an "That new jacket is HOT!" way.

My friends probably suspect me, too. >DDD

37. If you have no shame, why is this a secret? Sorry, I'm not being snarky, just genuinely curious. I get that no one knows about it, but what is it that's keeping you from telling people? A secret is something you generally keep from people, perhaps because you're ashamed or embarrassed about it, yes/no? It seems a lot of people have secrets that they're not ashamed of lately...which doesn't really make them secrets, imho.

And aren't 23 and 40 repeats? Man, I'm coming off as kind of bitchy today. :x

Hey, why was my comment deleted? It wasn't really wanky, and there have been a lot more wanky comments that are allowed to stay.

Is it just because I said something against one of the mod's friends? That's not right.

2. I've heard similar sentiments a few times.

4. I don't really care much for the anime versions of Seiya OR Mamoru, but the manga Mamo = <3. That aside, really, this is a fandom thing in general. Anytime there are two big shipping possibilities involving a common character, fierce lines are drawn and some people get outright obsessive... Look at Avatar, Naruto, and (still!) Harry Potter; talk about brutal 'shipping.

9. No idea what the fandom is, but I do have something to say in response to this:
No heterosexual male would dress like that everyday willingly.

I know a few, one's a good friend who's an executive transvestite. He's straight, but loves wearing women's clothes.

Anyway, just saying.

10. XD I'd be more disappointed that they had to be siblings if Han/Leia hadn't worked out so well in my eyes.

37. I think there's a significant difference in knowing that you have a Sue on your hand and choosing to keep her/them to yourself for your own enjoyment and writing what you think is the best OC ever who'll fit perfectly into the fandom.

I keep some Sues of my own around for my personal entertainment (have to harbour a few self-insert fantasies, y'know?) and at the same time, while I know how pissed off I get when I run into what the author didn't realise was a Sue, I realise that in the hands of some decent potentional and talent, Mary Sue can be the stepping-stone to a greater world of writing.

She's the roots for most of us, and while many among us finally are aware of her and have moved on, there's always a part of us that still more than likely would like to be her.

(Anonymous) 2007-12-05 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
3. I don't know, that Phoenix seemed kind of forced and unnatural anyway. I don't really like how she plays him. I think that most everyone liked it because of the NaruMitsu. :\ If there's Phoenix/Edgeworth gay in something, it's bound to get a lot of "BEST EVER" comments.

(Anonymous) 2007-12-05 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe if someone could bother to play or write either of them in-character when they're not gay, NaruMitsu stuff wouldn't get all the "BEST EVER" comments. More people need to get that just because Phoenix likes tits in your fic doesn't mean he's remotely close to being in character.

(And before the shitstorm starts, yes, a lot of Narumitsu is OOC too. But the most IC stuff I read is invariably NaruMitsu.)

7. Hah, opposite. Couldn't stand real time (initially refused to play FFXII for that reason and still haven't gotten around it) and it was the appeal of KH's storyline and characters that had to break me out of the elitist shell. XD It really depends on each player's own preferred battling style, I guess! I generally love turn-based because I have slow reflexes ;_; I like thinking up strategies (and designating certain roles to party members in the FF games), especially for the tougher bosses. It's easier to take note how much damage a certain attack causes, also.

Anyway, Odin Sphere and Seiken Densetsu 3 (as recommended by others) are totally seconded. :)

[ETA] 13. lk;jdslkajs I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE. I'd use it all the time even on the weakest Heartless just because I wanted to see them do it. :|

45. !! YOU SHOULD START YOUR OWN. :D That's what I always do when I can't find an RP that suits whatever I feel like doing at the time. So hey, give it a shot? It's really not that hard, especially if you try to get a few people to help you mod if you think you don't have the time or whatever.

48. ...I've actually been feeling sad because I haven't met anyone who wears the headbands outside of cons. :/ I'm curious to see if they're really as obnoxious and fanbratty as the majority apparently seem to agree. Hm.

7: I heartily recommend Tales of Symphonia. Between ToS and KH, I have been utterly spoiled and will never play a turn-based RPG ever again.

13: Some of the limit breaks in KH2 were nothing short of brilliant. I'm replaying currently and, for the first time, saw Sora and Jack Skellington's limit, "Applause, Applause". That one's my personal favorite. It's strikes me as very sweet for some reason, what with the dancing and waltzing around. :D

[identity profile] friendshipbeam.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
4) IAWTS. It's actually one of the fandoms that started my ship-only-canon thing and made me wary when people shipped things that contradict it.
7) I'm the same way! Only about card-battle systems. I'm fine with turn-based, just skip the customization and collecting!
11) *applause*
17) That'd be great.
23) Repeat.
31) Hey, I do not steal babies. In fact, I hate babies. Babies are annoying and gross. Still, I can see where you're coming from. There have been a lot of books that go back to the original stories these days, actually.
42) XDDD That's great.
48) I ghetto cosplay in real life all the time, not to put any image across, but just for the fun of it. Of course, I put effort into cons and Halloween, but sometimes it's just fun to get up, get dressed like normal, pin on an SOS-dan armband and walk out the door.

9. Albel is love! I agree with you, when I see a really pretty guy, even if he isn't gay, I just can't picture him with a girl, cause most of the time they would look way prettier than any girl ^^;; They can either be in love with themselves or with another guy =P

10. You have made a secret that I wanted to make for a while now. Just to tell you how I'm just like you on this topic. I'm so disappointed and I really believe that they were meant to be together at the beginning and because Han Solo came along, they changed the story....that's what I made myself believe and hated Harrison Ford to this day for it >_>;;; I just totally ship them =(
