So, on Skype, could you technically have two accounts with the same number that aren't linked to each other.

More specifically, could I have a "fandom account" of sorts where I could talk to people without them necessarily being linkezd to my real name or landline, but I could just use for skype-to-skype chat?

I was reading through this article and it prompted a thought.

We live in the safest times imaginable. Even thirty years ago people couldn't image a crime rate so low or with feminism so prominent.

At the same time we seemed to have started indulging in the most extreme fantasies. We have an entire generation who spend their time telling every single woman that if she talks to a man she's going to be raped, that everyone will blame her, and that the patriarchy rather then being a system of power which exerts itself in some ways is so malevolent beast designed to crush us at every single turn and every single time a bad thing happens it reflects the way that society doesn't consider women people.

To what extent is this unhealthy behavior contributing to becoming a self fulfilling prophecy, and to what extent is is taking away choice and empowerment from young women by making them believe it?

I'm using ao3 savior to blacklist certain tags on AO3, but the script seems to have stopped working.

Is anyone else who uses the script having a similar problem? Or does anyone have a clue what I could do?

Because I am watching the Thomas Barrow/ Jimmy Kent part of the fandom exploding and it is not as funny as I thought it would be.

So how is your fandom doing? Any crises yet?

For me it's white noise. I tried it once while studying, and it put me on edge so hard that eventually I could hardly think.

Advice for Keeping Goldfish

I'm looking at getting a small fishtank or indoor aquarium and keeping some (not tropical) fish as pets. Does anyone have advice? I am kinda clueless about the whole thing, so even the simplest of the simples would be appreciated. When I say gold fish, I know they are an actual species (I think) but it could be any small fish. Around here any small fish in a bowl is a goldfish regardless of colour. Whatever they are they've have to be able to handle being in a cool room, which rules out a lot of goldfish because I know a lot of them need a heated tank or a warm room.

I'm currently writing a rarepair fic in a section of fandom that seems relatively dead. To boot, the characters aren't fandom favorites, so it's nearly no love all around (their paring is practically blasphemy in some circles). So why do I write it?

Because perhaps some newcomer in the series will like the characters, perhaps they will happen upon that rarepair as I did one night (I never thought of seeing them together, I had exhausted A/lead character) and realize the dearth of fic there is available. Also, this story is just banging and I hope someone reads it and is pleased. I write it because I was tired of not seeing more of what I wanted, so I went out to make it, and hopefully make it well, so someone might enjoy some good quality fic.

Why do you write the fic you write? Are there any issues surrounding the type of fic you like to write? If you haven't written, what kind of fic would you like to see?
