28. ... I'm not sure you understand the purpose of a drabble for some of us. It's practice. And there's some really great drabbles out there that only work as drabbles.

39. Ouch. Well, in that case, they're not really your friends, plain and simple as cookie dough. Although to be fair, some people might... be better at commenting on fics than anything else. I have someone on my flist whose fics I almost always comment on, but while I read most of her entries, I find I have little to contribute.

3. I actually agree with you completely. Oh here goes Emily wtf is she thinking, she's the fandomsecrets token bitch, but honestly I am such a squeeer. I have more than enough of saving-face tact in inappopropriate situations (and it bugs me when others don't), but privately all I want to do is fangirl the hell out of stuff I like. Why is that such a problem sometimes?

26: I had smutfic written about me and Tifa Lockhart once. It was creepy but awesome.

28. I agree to an extent for many reasons. The only time I really lose respect, though, is when people are only capable of teeny tiny drabbles and put out NOTHING else.

40. I'm not a twin (well technically I am, Mom had a miscarriage long story) and it still kinda grosses me out a little.

10) I feel you. I have a few American series fandoms, but most of what I'm into is anime or cartoons, and I'd hate to unintentionally alienate friends I'd make who are more into the American fandoms.

Ahaha. I've been there

A kid at my high school wrote a fantasy story about everyone in the Junior year. I was only in one scene, but in it I was having an illicit affair.

I'm asexual.

Granted, I'm a "romantic" asexual, and it was a pretty well-known fact at the that I had a major "crush" on the real-life counterpart of the character involved. But the two of us couldn't look each other in the eyes for days.

I don't understand people who freak out about incest, twincest or wtfever. It's some people's kink - if you don't like it, here's an idea - don't fucking look for it, don't read it. That way you're happy and everyone else is happy.

I like incest. I like shota. I have a four year old little brother. I have the capability to differentiate between fantasy and reality. I'm sure most other people that like incest/twincest/shota/wtfever have the ability to do the same thing, whether they have siblings or not, younger or older, twins or not.

unfortunately the "don't like it, dont look/read" rule doesn't apply as easily. Some people have friends on their list or something who will post art or whatever. In fandom it's kinda impossible to avoid many things. not that i mean "omg no one should ever write this ever cus i say so", but it's understandable to be annoyed! Imgaine if something you found disgusting (like I dunno, guro or whatever) was popular in a fandom you enjoy, so you ran into it all the time. Not much you can do, but people are allowed to be squicked.

I think anyone who can shove a huge imagery/symbol/whatever in a drabble? Is a fucking GENIUS. Just because it's not your cup of tea doesn't give you the right to belittle anyone who enjoys writing them. It's fun, it's a challenge, and hell, sometimes, it's even harder than your xxxk numbered fanfic. And your definition of substantial is one-sided. Sometimes, less is more too.

I mean, I haven't gotten to Mai/Zuko yet in my Avatar watching, so for all I know I won't even like it. But it bugs me when people use that kind of argument to put down a pairing--

"They're so WRONG for each other!"
"She doesn't deserve him!"
"He's too young for her!"
"They're too [lustful/violent/quarrelsome/insert other negative adjective] to make a good couple!"
And sometimes, "They're abusive!" when they're not.

Because it seems like they're demanding that pairings measure up to some ethereal standard of The Proper Relationship to be considered acceptable. :/

7. Old Walt was a meanie? Old news. My friend used to joke that Kingdom Hearts should have had a Song of the South level. But he was a product of his time, you shouldn't let his beliefs get in the way of admiration for his talent.

8. Arguing about shipping is pretty low on my list of priority, but as far as this pairing is concerned... I think you just don't get it.

28. Dude, you have to know the majority of fanauthors write drabbles, otherwise you wouldn't have phrased it like that. Nice job, wank bait. With the tone of the secret being so dickish, it's hard to express agreement without sounding like a total cunt, but to some extent, I do resent drabbles for the way they've completely taken over fanfiction. In some fandoms, that's all you ever find, and salad's nice and all but every now and then I'm gonna want a steak, you know? Plus, I don't think everyone really gets that just because a drabble is short doesn't mean that it's easy to write. A good drabble is like a joke - it needs a punchline and a theme. Random disjointed sentences strung together do not a drabble make, sorry.

On the other hand, I also hate epic multi-chaptered fanfic. So maybe it's just my doglike loyalty to the long one-shot talking.
