27. I don't understand why so many people post secrets here implying that it's impossible to balance having a "cool person wild real life" *eyeroll* with having a "fandom life". So, like: last night I went out on the town and drank lots of liquor and wore a sexy shirt and danced until my legs wanted to fall off and then today thanks to the magic of winter break, I relaxed, played FFXII and read some fanfic. I-it's not really that difficult to, y'know, have multiple hobbies. :P

Not that I want to criticize either way of life, I'm just curious.

10) I love Locke/Celes. I've seen people try to deny that it's canon, but wtf?

Still, I'm even more of an ~*~FF outcast~*~ in that Squall/Rinoa is my favorite "main" FF pairing, and about 85% of the fandom refuses to acknowledge that it exists because omg evil Mary Sue pastede-on anyone who likes it is in denial blargh blargh

22) Because, you know. God forbid people care about anything in real life. Sorry, but those issues are there. It's one thing to insist on ranting about politics whenever someone wants to enjoy an anime, and that's not fair, sure. But people who get mad when someone brings up the sociopolitical dimensions of fiction because OMG IT'S JUST FANDOM need to step back and take a look at the world. Lots of things are influenced by fiction, including, most importantly, the minds and hearts of people. It's more than fair to look at the politics and issues behind fiction--it's sometimes necessary.

Example: 27. Your fandom friends are drifting away from someone who thinks she's better than all of them? I can't imagine why. But hey, have heart, it's entirely possible they're just taking some time for themselves to cultivate a real life. You know, one with a career and is goal-oriented and interspersed with healthy hobbies that don't incidentally turn you into a deadbeat by 30. (Not that's there's anything wrong or even very special with those activities, not that people don't do them all the time, but seriously, who takes this attitude?)

40) Never finished Chrono Trigger (but I enjoyed what I played of it), and never touched Chrono Cross, so I can hardly talk from any position of authority regarding gameplay and story, but I do have the two games' soundtracks, and I love the crap out of them. I daresay that I enjoy Yasunori Mitsuda more than Nobuo.

Girl here, huge theater brat in high school, love anime and video games, big ol' nerd in pretty much every way. And you know what? Back in high school, everyone thought I was gay. I'm straight as an arrow, and even dated boys back then, but no one seemed to notice that. According to most folks that spread rumors, I was a hardcore lesbian.

Moral of the story: Don't assume those girls are gay based on what other people say. If you're really curious, ask them personally!

I think my first experience with the Dr. Who fandom was a f_w post on Rose vs. Martha, and I have to confess, I didn't think I would like Rose at all, Martha seemed to be the type of character I'd like better.
But, Rose really grew on me, and I'm a little scared to get into the fandom because of the secrets I've seen here that don't like her

34. I was actually just reading the latest chapter- I feel pretty dirty reading it too. While I wouldn't scream "EVIL PEDOPHILIA!" if they became canon, but I do know that I could never fully be comfortable with that pairing.

Still, I think it's leaning towards paternal feelings, so it might not be an issue.

25. I've seen both, but I grew up with the American version; so I feel just a slight bit more preference towards that than I do the UK version, BUT both are extremely amusing, and I enjoy both.

32. ...You call that overweight? To me, it just like she has a bit of junk in the trunk. There is absolutely nothing wrong with not being a skinny little supermodel, even in fanart. While the breasts do appear a bit high, overall, there is not much 'wrong' for that sort of style. :| So she has a big butt? I believe we should all follow Sir Mix-a-Lot and start loving us some big butts.

32. To be honest, I don't think the changes you made with the red lines made the picture any better or worse. She DOES have a few anatomy problems every now and then, but, personally, I admire her artwork for her coloring more than the way she actually draws.

She may have anatomy flaws every now and then but Keysha-chan knows her way around a colored pencil and some Copic or Tria markers.

I wouldn't be afraid to critique her though. She is a pretty open person, and as long as you're not flaming her, the rabid fans won't bite you. They're too busy claiming the character she depicted in the picture belongs to them. ("OMG ROXAS IS MY HUSBAND!!11111111123456")

But yeah. Keira doesn't look overweight in that picture at ALL. (For one thing, it's not even the FINISHED version, so any curves in her body haven't been completely defined yet.)

Also: there's nothing wrong with drawing an overweight character. Granted this is fanart, so it's more about her style than the way the character is actually depicted, but.. You don't gotta be an asshole about it.
