So Agentcthulu was going to do a stream this weekend, but, I haven't heard from them at all this week... If something's going on and they are not available, I got a back up stream here...

The theme is sexploitative action movies. Where they knew it was shit, so they threw in lotsa tits! (or made this movie as an excuse to show them)

So in fandom/feminist/computer programming news (and I am nothing if not all about fandom/feminist/computer programming news), Mattel made a Barbie "I can be a Computer Engineer" book for girls in which Barbie hires her male friends to code a video game idea she has, gets a computer virus, crashes her computer, crashes her friends' computer, and then has to ask her male friends to fix everything. (Mattel has already apologized, parodies have already been made, but it still sucks.)

On the flip side! Code.org licensed Anna and Elsa from Disney to create some kid-friendly, girl-positive coding tutorials! (You make snowflake patterns with simplified functions and loops! Elsa and Anna looks so dejected whenever you fuck up! It's amazing!)

That's right we're talking about Cross Ange, the new mecha show by Sunrise best known for Code Geass. The show has done the impossible and managed an even camper than Code Geass artstyle. It looks like the animators spent too much time watching pre-cure.



Which makes the fact that it has gone full edge an even more confusing choice.

I am SO SO SO tired of people complaining that they "aren't allowed" or "think they should be allowed" to like/think/want something.

YOU ARE ALLOWED TO LIKE, THINK, OR WANT ANYTHING YOU WANT TO.

Yes, some people may disagree with you. That's because they, too, are "allowed" to think or like whatever they want. It doesn't mean you aren't allowed to.

This is becoming a huge pet peeve. You aren't oppressed or whatever because someone disagreed with you.

I have to say that I had no respect for Sarah Silverman whatsoever until I saw Wreck-it-Ralph. Totally did not see that coming. Still don't care much for her personally but I think the performance was excellent.

Ever had something silly happen that just makes your day?

My boss is German (came here for studies and never left). I always joke around with him about how much he loves David Hasselhoff. Because Germans llooooovvvveeeeeeee the Hoff. And he is always tells me he has no idea why I think Germans love David Hasselhoff.

Well his father and grandfather came to visit. His father speaks some English (his grandfather none). We were asking him all kinds of silly stuff (and he was telling us German tongue twisters), when my cousin asked him if he liked David Hasselhoff. My boss's father goes, "I LOVE DAVID HASSELHOFF!"

I start cracking up. His father says, "I watch the one movie with him and the lady at the beach!" My cousin is like "Baywatch?" So he says, "YES! I love the woman too. Pamela Anderson? She is VERY PRETTY *eyebrow waggles*!"

Needless to say, my day was made and my boss basically facepalmed when we told him.
