13. I loled. And also agreed. I am so confused whenever people arbitrarily decide that their favourite character is (MAGICALLY!) some heavily romanticised animal.

Has anyone else noticed that furries never use less-than-pleasant animals? Everyone is always some sort of cat, or lion, or panther, or dog, or wolf, or whatever. The sneaky guy is never a weasel! The guy who has lots of emotional walls up and blocks himself up is never an armadillo!

:( there was an small influx of furry art in my main fandom, and I almost cried, it was so horrible.

5. You make a good point, and it's a fine subject for a secret. However, I do think the girls who entertain little obsessions with people online, and decide that they're 'lesbians' - even when they're attracted to men - are being rather tasteless. It's like using Yiddish slang, and consequently declaring oneself to be Jewish, or reading the IHAD speech by MLK and deciding to identify as black. An identity that is inescapable for some, becomes a fashion accessory to be tried on and cast away when bored with it.

I agree. However, I also think that sexuality is an easier identity to toy with when you're young and still trying to figure yourself out, so I don't begrudge them their identification.

It's not for me or anyone else to say that this obsession won't turn into something deeper.

11, YOU ARE MY NEW FAVORITE PERSON. MARRY ME. I've always thought that kids shows or toys have more to it, especially My Little Pony. I ONLY WISH I'D SEEN THE FIRST SERIES. I only know the names of the G2 toys and series, but oh, how I love them (and ponies in general).

MLP already has an extremely strong following. :D I have been RPing MLP since 2003, and we have many RPGs and Fics with adult themes (Not adult themes as in smut, but as in serious storylines and carefully thought out plot arcs.)

10. I like Henry a lot in the movie. The book... is actually the only Austen book I never managed to get through. (I even got through Northanger Abbey!) I love all the others, but that one just fell a little flat for me for some reason.

That said, the movie made me like it. But -- and I could be wrong here -- I think the film did some things with the plot, like merging Fanny with Jane herself (like, her saying yes to Henry only to say no the next day -- I don't know if that's in the book or not).

Anyway, I do like Henry a lot. And I feel terribly for him. Yeah, he made mistakes, and was kind of skeezy, but I do kinda ship him with Fanny. I like Edmund, too, but... that movie has the ONLY Austen 'ship I'm not 100% behind!

on the other hand, I kinda 'ship Tom with Fanny's sister, don't tell

ILU. Yeah, the Frances O'Connor film was kind of weird in that respect (but I have a lot of affection for it anyway - there's another unpopular opinion). I suppose Edmund's not so bad, but I resent the idea that Fanny's his second choice a lot.

It might just be that I find Henry/Fanny or Mary/Fanny so much more interesting, because they would make Fanny question her morality. And because I can see them coming round to her point of view a bit and it would be the best of both worlds.

The only trouble with incest is that it messes up the gene pool; they were extremely careful about protection; therefore there's no trouble. #5 - My first kiss was with a girl when I was 12. Before I even discovered fandom. Fandom (and fanart of hot guys) actually gave me an interest in boys. It turned me bi. ;)


#26 - So does that make anime weeaboo Disney cartoons? Honestly, and I'm not just saying this as a fan, ATLA has a lot more going for it than 75% of anime being pumped out of Japan lately. Not only that, but at least it's an original plot, and not pulling from someone else's work. :)


#46 - I just wish the whole fandom would shut up when it comes to shipping. I feel bad for the Zutara fans who ship it for the fanon, because the canonists are irritating at times. And I agree about asshole canon!shippers. Just ship your ship and not care about what others are doing, people. God.
