Firefox and Flash

Did anyone else notice that Firefox is now blocking flash? I think, personally, that it is ridiculous. Flash is a horrible program, but it is still used by many websites. As long as that is true it is stupid for Mozilla to block something something so essential to internet use. Even CNN and other news sites use it.

Ghosts

Two scenarios about ghosts.

1) Ghosts have been known to exist for centuries. They are something that people have grown up with and dealt with their whole lives. How is our world different?

2) On November 8th, 2015 scientists prove that ghosts exist. This proof is there. All world leaders have agree ghosts are real. 90% of world scientists agree. A group of scientist go around the world to various cities to present the proof. In 2017, the technology exists for individuals to buy and see ghosts for themselves. How does our world change?

Info: Ghosts are NOT like Hogwart's ghosts. They can do some basic communication if they are strong enough. They are more like horror movie ghosts. They walk around in the same pattern. They are generally unaware of people. Angry ghosts can become violent and dangerous.

I've been sitting on a fic for a while and think I may clean it up and post it. I'm an "old timer" and used to just post stuff on LJ. This is for a fandom I wasn't in before and I have NO IDEA where the fandom's at. Are there still active LJ comms? Do I just post on AO3, try to tag it well, and hope for the best?

I was having an argument with my Dad, who says that since Buffy is attractive and always wearing sexy outfits, it means that the show is meant for men. Specifically, he said, adult men, since Buffy is an "adult show".

Am I wrong that this show is mainly for teenage girls? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here or something.

Legitimate online/work from home jobs?

I have a job, but I just don't make enough. I live in an insanely small town and the economy here is awful...I've been looking for a second/different job for almost a year and there's just nothing available. I know that eventually I might need to move to a bigger town but right now I'm trying to avoid that because all of my family and friends are here...my whole life is here.

I know there are jobs where people can work from home/online, which sounds like it would be perfect for my situation since the company wouldn't even necessarily have to be based in the same state I'm in. Even something small/part-time would be helpful. I have no idea how to look for something like that, though, since I'm sure most of the things that come up on Google are probably scams.

I'm going to continue to look locally, and I might end up selling some stuff on Ebay (someone suggested doing something on Etsy but I'm not any good at crafty-type things), but I'd appreciate any thoughts or advice anyone has (or just suggestions for things in general to make extra money).

The news that Microsoft has decided it really can make the Xbox One backward compatible after all has me feeling a little more inclined to eventually upgrade. My only holdup is that I'm a pretty busty girl and I spend a lot of my time at home topless. So I still feel a little skeeved by the always-on Kinect. And the voice capabilities and better tracking when I do play motion-games (while clothed) are the big draws for updating, so the Kinectless version kind of defeats the purpose.

IDK, is it entirely unfounded and irrational to feel weird about Kinect watching me while I'm watching Netflix half naked? Also, let this be a thread for all your Xbox-related conversation.
