39. Unlikely. A lot of people agree with you. The later books weren't devoid of merit, but they desperately needed one or two editors who were willing to be really tough with JRK. I think the success of the series made it hard to give her solid concrit.

Yeah, even if the author isn't the Anne Rice type who thinks that editors are only holding back her Artistic Vision rather than helping, the editor for someone as popular as JKR is afraid of giving any criticism lest the author get in a snit and leave their publishing house for another.

(I thought Sesshou-maru was a girl for about ten pages. I know, plenty of people say he looks like a girl, but I saw them calling him Lord and I still didn't get it.)

24. I don't mind people shipping him, but I don't think he wants to be in a relationship. Maybe when he has more closure about Trudy he could be, but now... it's just not going to happen. My secret is that I'd hit that, except he'd make me take a million showers.

28. Turn of the Screw scared the living hell out of me. (That, and Young Goodman Brown by Nathaniel Hawthorne.) But if you like trashy vampire novels, enjoy yourself. A book is a book, essentially.

It's good, but it's not better. All he's done is take the original and add loads of random shit. He's playing around, that's all. He's not even singing - and yes, I know your point is that he's a better guitarist, but Little Wing is my favourite Hendrix song because of the whole song, and that includes the lyrics. Little Wing is short because it's tight, and loosening it up so you've got room to play doesn't make it better, not by a long shot.

Sadly, yes. For one thing it actually included most of the characters from the novel. :p

I'd say it was mostly because it was a series, and thus had time to be more accurate - but the Gerard Depardieu version was long, and that veered off awfully.

If you ever suffer from insomnia again, try reading George Eliot's 'Mill on the Floss' and you'll fall to sleep in ten pages guaranteed.

61 - Walking down the street in Akiba and wandering into little shops that are filled from ceiling to floor, shelf upon shelf, of super famicom games made me so happy while I was in Tokyo. You will be very pleased when you do get to Japan and get to hunt down all of the games that never made outside of the country. I was in videogame heaven.
