And heck, why not screencaps as well -- you didn't direct it, or photograph it, or design the CG models for it, after all. Van Gogh or some other famous artist's work? Welp, you didn't paint it, so it's not yours to use in icons. Or other people's characters -- did you create 'em? No? Then they're not yours to use -- in your fanart or your fanfics or your RPs, either. Wouldn't we all be fucked over then?

34. I felt so bad for him when I read that. Then I realized that I was feeling sorry for a stick figure, and had to sit back and think about life for a while. Still, I totally agree.

I made the same mistake. Mello is more emotional then Near, wears interesting clothes and has an actual haircut.
I thought that story needed an intelligent female character besides of Naomi Misora. On the other hand, considering her lack of resources and connections, she might be even more intelligent than the others. Why the hell did she give up her career for that jerk of a husband?

The art is one of the artist's sketches, but it's not official comic art (I don't think). From the bit that I read in the preview, and some interviews with the writer and the artist, I think they both have a semi-romantic Doctor/Martha slant, which also kind of upsets me. I was hoping to avoid teh romance.

But I haven't read the whole comic yet. It might be good!

56. Alexandre Dumas > Any rendition of his works. Not that the anime was bad. I really can't say, because I'm so sensitive to migraines that I literally could not watch the psychedelic vomit that was the art design of the show for more than five minutes. However, my friends who did watch it said it was great. However, I love me some Dumas, and I don't see why liking the original classic over an interpretation of it would make you feel so bad that you're too afraid to admit it.

Oh god, thank you. I know sooo many people that think Martha is better than Rose. And while I don't really like Martha (mostly because of the snide comments about Rose, to be honest) she has her moments where she's pretty awesome. 22. Ruby is so awesome. I wasn't too hot on girls in the show, but Ruby won me over instantly. I remember feeling a bit weird over it because most people I knew hated the girls on principle. Ruby, I think, has gone to show us all that she IS her own character, and not just an estrogen injection.

28. Actually ... you're just following the same exact mass media trend everyone ELSE has been following since the turn of the century. The trashy vampire romance novels are written BECAUSE they are meant to be shallow entertainment, and people will like them as such. I don't see the big deal; you like it, and that means it is serving exactly its purpose. I don't see why that should mean you have to like literature. :o Though don't knock ALL literature just yet; you'd be surprised by what you might find.
