I think I actually know who you are talking about.

...have I mentioned that? ;)

or maybe I'm way off.

5. Ahhh, 80's anime elitists. I sooo enjoy breaking their brain by expressing my love for stuff from the same age and even earlier (Future Boy Conan, Kimba <3), and my love for newer stuff (Heroic Age, Gintama <3). It's a beauty to be seen.

[identity profile] dorknessrising.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
Word. Every time I mention that I love Macross, Gatchaman, and Fullmetal Alchemist, I wish I had one of those nanocameras to catch the look on the other guy's face.

er, do you even know the reason he's not a lawyer anymore? He got his badge TAKEN from him by the bar association. It's not like he decided to quit being an attorney out of nowhere.

[identity profile] cautionbomb.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
60. lol, kojima doesn't even take MGS seriously. i just love the game for the sheer wtf-ery.

[identity profile] athena8.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
Well...I grew up with Dragon Ball as well, and I still think Yugioh is a lot more entertaining and gripping than DB ever was. I liked DB when it was actually about dragon balls. And then it evolved into something totally different. This was the author responding to what the readers wanted, which is fine. The same thing happened with Yugioh, except in its case, I think that the original story and the story it evolved into were both equally wonderful. That being said, I realize that Yugioh isn't everybody's cup of tea. ;)

I really, really love the Egyptian themes in YGO, and the various games part; the card part wasn't bad, just a bit tedious in places.

I've never been a big fan of Toriyama; he's good, but not my cuppa. Also not particularly "old-school", is he? Or am I just that old?

[identity profile] dorknessrising.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
5. The fact you include Dragonball as one of those "better than anything evar" titles? Pretty much negates your whole opinion.

Dragonball was not the shit. It was just shit.

[identity profile] karma-kalisutah.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
This needed to be said. I just about DIED when I realized it was a DB fan being all elitist. OP made my day with that.

41

[identity profile] insomniac-tales.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know why you'd want to write something generic and turn it into fannish stuff by replacing names (unless of course you're desperate for praise). It's kind of sad really.

[identity profile] zoom-gas.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
12. lolll why does that terrify you? Having a sense of spirituality doesn't mean you have to go around being some crazy GOD WARRIOR.
79. YEAH I cant get very far either. I feel like a bad cartoon nerd :(

50

[identity profile] smilingbomb.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
Well...at the very least; you wear cool hats and listen to good music.

*_____*

UGH. Now 'Singing in the Rain' is playing in my head.

I share the same sentiments, the unhealthy things Hage does to us. u_u Haha.

Also, 46

[identity profile] dorknessrising.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
46. Word. Because you can't be a girl gamer who's played anything other than Final Fantasy or DDR. If you have? GTFO OUR CLUB, BITCHES. YOU MAKE US FEEL LESS MANLY.

Though I love breaking their brains when I mention titles they're too young to have heard of. Yes, boys, I've likely been gaming longer than you've been alive, and I have a vagina. Get the fuck over it.

Re: Also, 46

[identity profile] smilingbomb.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
AMEN.
<3.

[identity profile] piano-kun.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
OMG SPIRAL SECRET WHUT <3 NARUMI! I loved the entire series so much. However, I'm still a tad confused about the origin of what/who exactly the "Blade Children" were. Maybe I missed something? Nonetheless, fun secret.

KHR...I've heard so many good things about it. However, I think I'll wait until the fandom quiets down a little before reading the manga. >___> I'm always afraid of getting into popular fandoms. I didn't get into Harry Potter until AFTER the fifth book came out. Now I'm just reading the fifth book, and I like the series. =D Sure, I'm eons late, but hey, I'm just a little wary, that's all. Is it just me? I wonder. >___>

I'll let you know if/when it does go out. Thanks! :)

25. Honestly, I have to say... BEST CARTOON EVER.

34. Oh, I could rant about that movie for DAYS. We should do lunch. XD

46. ?!!? Why? D:

57. You make a very good point. Thank you - truer words were never spoken!

60. I do love those games, but I have to commend you on the Eddie Izzard reference. Supremely cool.

18. So what if they're not in the same series? It's nothing new for the DW fandom to ship people from one series who have never met another person from another series.

29. I just looked up why the show is canceled. It's such a shame he lied on his resume when he's such a talented chef.

41. Wow.

46. I'm so sorry you still feel you must do this.

76 ;___;

[identity profile] kawaii-syaoran.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
#5: But. But. I never liked any of the ones on the top OR on the bottom. =P

54 !!!!

[identity profile] blueutopiah.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
You are not alone! I love that pairing too, and I know a bunch of others who ship them as well.

I can give you some fic recs and dirty pictures if you need them. *cough*

Awww~ Fujiwara is such a lovable, seaweed-headed stag beetle~

Though I don't entirely get how Honest's 'LOL MASTAR, I AM A PANSY ANGLE WITH MUSCLES WHO LOEVS YOU<3'-ness is the only thing that makes his normal teenage wangst 'redeemable.' 'x'

I mean, really. All he did was have some Peruvian ritual for the lulz, and what emo nerd of a 16 year old boy hasn't tried that at least once? And Fubuki couldn't remember much, if not all, of what happened anyway. And by the time he actually realized that something happened/remembered WTF went on, happy sunshines of YEY kinda killed any guilt he'd have.

...Unless you're favorite character is Trueman, or something. THEN OH GOD YES, I TOTALLY WEEP WITH YOU<3 DAMN YUSUKE FOR LOOSING, AND CAUSING TRUEMAN TO DIE IN A FIT OF RAINBOW EXPLOSIONS. ;___;

Re: 40

(Anonymous) 2008-03-13 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
What I'm upset at him for is cheating, actually. I understand what happened, but the fact is, he saw the card Fubuki had before Fubuki actually played it, and knowing what it was, he was able to counter it. And that is called cheating. Cheating against my favorite character is not cool.

The only reason I can find any redeeming qualities in him at all is because Honest cosplayed him at the beginning of the season, and how he was back then led me to hope that the real him was all right. I look for the good things because I want to think that Honest wouldn't lie about how he actually is.

...No, my favorite character isn't Truman. I like Truman even less than I do Fujiwara, actually...

.79 I know this is late, but. . .

[identity profile] erogenous.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
I think what you've just written is a contradiction in terms. o(^__^)o

Re: .79 I know this is late, but. . .

(Anonymous) 2008-03-13 05:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I know it is. Doesn't make sense to me either, but there you go.

PUCCA!? HELL YEA! >3

Totally with you there, OP. Never was *quite* as down as you seem to have been, but I discovered the Boosh at a terribly bleak time of my life, too. I think you may have hit on why it just clicks with some people and not with others!

#4, Yay Animorphs! -But do not like show!- ;)

#31, while I prefer a different pairing, I do agree that they would help each other so much.

#36, That's really sad. :( I've been there before.

#44, ZOMGROFL!!! -I can't say I blame you. Nerd talk is Hawt!-

#46, get out in the sunshine! Be proud of your gender! You're not alone!

#67, Good Fan Fiction is a lie! Let alone ADULT Fan Fiction! XD -In all seriousness, I have no idea. I share your sentiment when it comes to other things like that though. I miss the old days-

25 - well, the character Pucca has been around for a while. before the move to a Disney cartoon she was like this little flash animation - old character is old.

79 - Thief and the Cobbler/Arabian Knight! omg, I taped it off the tv years ago and I still have it. it's cute and wee and something different.
