Brought to you by many ppl repeatedly trying to make me get my fence repair done in different ways (I'm letting insurance handle it in a like-for-like).

Including getting a better more expensive fence. A total fence replacement (including undamaged), saying the person broke the gate (that was already broken. Happy to pay that part myself).

It's just annoying and unneeded stress. I've chosen my process. This will cost me literally nothing (except $40 for new hinges on already broken gate). Pls stop.

Do you follow trends deliberately - as in, making an effort to do what's trendy just because it's trendy?

Or do you do whatever you want - go with the trends if you like them, ignore them if you don't?

Or do you deliberately try to distinguish yourself from other people? Or get annoyed by things that are trendy just from seeing them too often?

Mine is a Harry Potter fic with Harry as an Auror dealing with a new Big Bad in wizarding Africa (because I have a ton of ideas for how their magic world differently to British systems.)
Won't write it because I'm terrified of SJWs and backlash if I write anything outside of my race (white/Western) and get it wrong.

Y'all! Y'all. I COOKED SOMETHING. You don't understand the monumental nature of this event. I think it was probably last November that I actually cooked something that didn't come from a box, can or jar, and in between there's been a shit ton of takeout (wait, wait...I made hamburgers once since then).

Today I made steak, sauteed fresh green beans with salt, pepper, and onion and garlic powders in the steak juices while it rested, and boiled red potatoes. The steak had to go back on the fire, and I ended up eating the green beans as an appetizer, because -- as you can imagine -- my timing and done-ness testing skills aren't exactly up to snuff.

But it was SO TASTY. Especially the beans, which I was most worried about. But they were so crisp and seasoned just right.

Question that I can't find an answer to on google because I am using the wrong words

Is it illegal to go between a pilot car and the vehicle is in escorting? Like when an 18 wheeler is hauling a wide load so it has a car in front and behind it? Because we got stuck behind one for 30 minutes today and there was plenty of room between the pilot car and the load to pass (if we went between the two). But we didn't know if it was illegal to do so.

Customizing inkjet catridges for fabric printing

So it's super late and I'll probably repost this if nobody answers, but google isn't turning up much and maybe I'm just using the wrong search terms. So these days it's totally possible to use an inkjet printer to print fabric, whether by using an out of the box printer and cartridges and treated fabric, or through one of the big print on demand companies like Spoonflower. What I couldn't find an answer to is how feasible it would be to fill an inkjet cartridge with discharge ink and print with it.

Discharge ink sounds vaguely icky, but it's this stuff used in screenprinting that removes color from fabric. So say you want to print something on a dark shirt. You can either use white pigment as a base, which fucks with the hand, or feel, of the fabric, or you can mix in some discharge medium to your colors or use premixed discharge dye, and it will strip the dark color from only where you lay pigment down, leaving just the colors in your print, surrounded by the unaltered dark shirt color.

Does anyone who knows anything about inkjet printers or screenprinting have any ideas behind mucking around wirh empty cartridges, discharge ink, and a printer I don't mind tossing if I fuck up the print heads?
