My angsty ficlets of woe and total character breakdown get about 3 reviews each on the Pit, even though I'm writing in some of the bigger fandoms out there, but I still write them anyway.

1) Me too! And it's been hard over the years trying to explain to people why I don't want to walk with someone for company. I don't want company! I want to think without distractions!

11) Jack's not a one note porn machine. (If he was, he'd be boring). And certainly people RP porn with canonically asexual characters all the time. As long as the rest of the people in your RP are cool with a gen Jack, hey, it works.

50) Yeah. Happened to me too. Sometimes you just have to go out and read a bit of gen and let your porny side rest.

57) It's an opportunity to expand your horizons as a writer. Now that you are freed from canon, you can take this fic where it logically wants to go, rather than being trapped by the confines of what actually happened. From now on it's your imagination in the drivers seat. Some of the most creative, interesting fics are born out of the desire to take canon in a new, unexplored direction.

71) Don't let other people decide what you can and can't write. You can nay-say yourself out of your hobby so easily. Write because you want to, because the story wants to get out, because it feels good to write. When you start writing (or not writing) for popularity, it stops being fun and starts being a chore.

Oh, totally. Jack's got a hell of a lot of depth to him that doesn't intersect with sex, even when sex and sensuality are big parts of how he interacts with people. Which is why I find myself attracted to him as a character, despite being asexual; he's fascinating.

55) LOL. I don't hate Reborn. I do think that the plot is pretty stupid, the pacing is uneven, and the power-ups too formulaic. I've never been one for the standard shonen series, so that colors my preferences a lot.

HOWEVER. It does have awfully pretty art. And it's just stupid/entertaining enough for me to keep up with it. Reborn's not exactly the pinnacle of manga, but it is decently entertaining stupid fun. Of course, it's not particularly deep or subtle, and people that take the characters and plot as TTLY SRS BZNS give me pause. -_-

P.S. How do people hate the Daily Life arc? It was great lols seeing Tsuna go into Dying Will mode for the most trivial things like that stupid magic show.

I don't RP at the DR, I just lurk (really insecure about my RP skills as is, i prefer to read everyone else's)... and I really agree. Isn't the point of it to have unlimited characters, crazy random rooms, etc? Its really cool that you have some people really wanting to make serious plot development or characterization and I was really enjoying it but I don't think banning crack characters works especially if the community was kind of started based off crack itself. And ya maybe there were too many de Killers going around but banning kids? Edgey/Larry/Nick are kids in canon, can't play them??

Sure from what I saw some of the AUs were pretty awful but isn't that just because there are good and bad RPers? Banning someon doing an awful AU just makes them then play an awful canon character.

I've loved following the PWDR so far but this has really made me uncomfortable.

09. I totally stopped watching the updates about this game a long time ago, but I did see the trailer where he does that. I totally think and hope that it's just some sort of a tease and he's not really going to commit suicide. I don't really want to know if/that it has been revealed otherwise since then.

I didn't think Sinnoh lacked atmosphere so much as it was a different atmostphere. Sinnoh has a more autumnal kind of feel to it, to me, whereas Hoenn is absolutely a summery type place.
