38. Ongoing series usually have bigger and more active fandoms than those that ended without even a proper ending. I stopped reading Shaman King (around volume 22; don't tell me I didn't give it a chance) because it got increasingly boring and weird and because I knew there wouldn't even be a resolution at the end. Maybe I'll give it another chance next year when the real ending is released, but it's been too long, I've moved on entirely in the meantime.

Like someone above said: Shaman King still has a decetly-sized following. People recognize the title, there are fansites, communities, fanfiction, fanart, news gets reported and discussed.
There are series who are better than Shaman King and who get a lot less attention. Does it really have to be the biggest fandom for you to be satisfied?

38. I actually just finished Shaman King last night. And while I enjoyed the series, Bleach is better. The biggest problem with Shaman King is that things really start rushing towards the end and that there is no real ending to the series. It leaves you hanging with something like 6 fights to go plus defeating Hao. From what I heard I understand this isn't entirely the mangaka's fault (I read that JUMP cancelled the series but I don't know if that's true or not). I think Shaman King had potential to be as good as Bleach but without an actual ending that isn't going to happen.

Yeah, it's true that Jump canceled it right when it was close to the end. But the ending is going to be released next year, pending sales of the reprints in Japan. :D

44 - I only ever saw Gundam Wing and don't care to see any of the other series. For me, it will always be about Heero, Duo, Trowa, Quatra, and Wufei (and the million and one other characters lol). :)

45 - Wow, I've read a lot of PJ-hate recently, and to be perfectly honest... sure, he made some bad decisions on what to put (or not put) in the movies, but overall I think he did a fantastic job - especially when it came to actually building the world. If I were a that kind of person, I would probably make a secret about this, but I'm not that person and I have no shame! I will readily admit that I loved (and love to this day) all three of the movies and adore PJ for making them!
