I feel like I'm gonna Hulk out any minute now. I blame that shithead Trump for this. It's the constant threat of nuclear war that's driving me up the wall. Since the Republicans won't do anything but suck up to Herr Trump, he pretty much has free hands to play with his shiny nukes.

You know what's really sad about all this? My city would be one of the first to be struck, if they were smart.

It's a MAJOR distribution city, with the main FedEx Hub here.

Welcome to the 1960s through 1980s, you'll get used to it. Take my advice, if it worries you so much then move next to a major military base. That way if anything does happen then it won't matter. Gone with the first flash, that was reassuring actually. None of this duck and cover, learning how to deal with fallout, rad burns, all that crap, just flash and gone.

I'm not mad, just constantly anxious. It sucks 'cause I was doing a pretty decent job of managing my anxiety and the current political climate has caused me to go about a thousand steps backwards. I live near an army base, so maybe I'll just get blown up in the first wave. Or I can move to my grandpa's house in another country and worry about drug crimes and corruption instead.

To the rest of the world, I just want to say how sorry I am for every stupid thing the orange shit stain's doing. I swear, most of us aren't that bananas and don't want to start any more wars.

The reboot is here (on Netflix). I love it, new riffs and even some throwbacks.

Miss the ending "twang" of the end theme song, but it's ok. The rest is all (throws up OK sign) it stinks!

The riffs are very, very good. The delivery isn't great - the pace is too fast, and none of the characters really have an established voice yet. it mostly feels like a bunch of people sitting in a room reading jokes.

That said, I'm really hopeful, because like I said they absolutely nailed it in terms of the quality and feel of the riffs themselves, which you would think would be the hardest part. I hope they get a chance to do more because I think if they have a shot at figuring out the delivery it'll be really great.

I've just watched a couple of eps but I liked it although I saw some opportunities for riffs that were missed that wouldn't have been in the Joel or Mike eras.

Ah damnit. There's a mini convention next week in my town and a fandom acquaintance badgered from another town me into inviting them over at my place to come and attend it.
They came once last year and criticized every single little thing about the house during their stay, I hated the whole experience and hoped I would never have to do it again. But they just asked out of the blue "I'm going to the con too, already got my tickets, I can crash at your place of course?" on a public chatroom in front of several of our mutual friends so I had no time to make up a good excuse and no way to just say no without looking like an asshole to our friends.
I hate myself and I hate them even more! In fact, I don't think I should refer to them as a friend anymore. Augh!!

Next time make your automatic answer no, don't even worry about the excuse.

I've had too many people take advantage of me when they want a place to crash, I just started saying no. I've had people get pissy about it but it never actually ended a friendship, I don't think being a friend means you are REQUIRED to house people and no one should expect it automatically even if they've stayed with you before.

Cause my accidental fandom rift drama is still going even though I only made one comment that I guess was the last straw. Something about "both sides have equal blame we all made harsh comments" (i made 1, you guys been making like 5 posts a day for 8 days) and a whoooole lot of conspiracy posts.

It is making me :( but also :) this is the biggest drama I have ever made with the least amount of effort :) but also :( this dude needs like...a therapist and drugs stat cause crazy

Also my poor puppy has a concussion and it's stressing me out a little, vet says he will be ok but he doesn't LOOK ok D:
