Reality shows in general bore the shit out of me, as do competition shows like the Dance/talent things.

(Oddly, cooking-related shows I can enjoy, even if they are the competition sort. Iron Chef, Julia Childs, Yan Can, Junior chefs, bakeoffs, that sort of thing.)

Honestly? The entire Wachowski Sisters oeuvre. I think I understand *why* they have a cult status, and in theory they're the kind of movies that should appeal to me, but they just... don't. I don't know. They just strike me as kind of awkward and stilted.

Bladerunner. I've watched it three times now. Two different versions. I just don't get what people like about it other than visuals. But the awesome visuals do not outweigh the slow as fuck, sometimes nonsensical plot with meh acting to me.

I've tried watching it more than once, tried reading the manga but just couldn't get into it at all. I found it slow and tedious rather than interesting.

Rocky Horror Picture Show. I know, I know, it's supposed to be ridiculous and I'm supposed to see it with people dancing a crowd yelling. But I did that, and I still don't really ever want to see it again.

I had friends who saw it literally hundreds of times though, so maybe it really is me.

Also Buckaroo Banzai. Which maybe isn't even a thing anymore, but it was for a while and I hated it and at least one person said I was too young to appreciate it which... wtf? It wasn't nuclear physics.

I am not in the fandom, but I enjoy rubbernecking.

"“Israa,” in the guise of the tumblr user blueskysapphic and ao3 user iluzjonista, spent most of late 2015 and 2016 collecting fans for their HIV-centric Hamilton high school AU. They claimed to be an HIV-positive Chinese-Pakistani trafficking survivor, living in India with their Catholic Somali-American wife. They claimed to be nonbinary. They claimed at one point that they had been pregnant, and then that they miscarried.... "

Long freakin' thing where basically this college student pretended to be a HIV positive lesbian couple in India to... get cred for their Hamilton AU Fanfic. Oh, and also to collect donations for their awful life.

Another tumblr user exposed them.

EXCEPT. Dun dun dun. The user that exposed them? Once wrote a cannibal-Hamilton fanfic which makes them super-problematic and awful and probably racist somehow. So it was wrong of them to expose the scam because they're problematic? Or something. Anyone else got better details?
