It's flooding. My truck is parked in a foot of water, after I moved it to higher ground. It's supposed to rain some more tonight. And I have a mosquito bite on my leg.

Well, we had a meeting at work about massive layoffs and I'm pretty low on the totem pole, so it looks like I'm gonna be out of a job soon. I did go buy some discounted candy, so I'm eating some now and binge-watching The Simpsons.

Still a little bummed that I missed out on Halloween this year. I had early morning shifts all week and money is tight so it wouldn't have been practical, but I usually love dressing up and going out for Halloween. So I got a pile of discount sweets from work for the household, we had pizza and watched South Park and Halloween Simpsons episodes. It was nice.

Gekidan Inu Curry (aka the artist who drew the witches in Madoka Magica). They were the reason why I started watching the show. Everyone was losing their heads over the episode 3 twist while I was "OMG an anime with Gekidan Inu Curry art!".

I watched Archer before it became super popular and by the time there series was actually popular I was already over it. I don't mean that in a condescending way, I just go through obsessions quickly.

I liked him in Facts of Life, Roseanne, and Sisters (I loved Falconer) before he showed up on ER. (I also watched him in Baby Talk and E/R, which were not very good).

I visited my family in Canada when I was a kid and my cousin-in-law had a Bare Naked Ladies hat on. Since I didn't know it was a band, it was a bit head-turning but she explained what they were. They were pretty local at the time.

I got into Breaking Bad as soon as it aired over here in the UK. I'm guessing it was already pretty big in America but it took a bit longer to gain momentum over here and I used to struggle to find anyone to talk to about it. Now I see at least 3 people a day at work wearing BB t-shirts/bags.

I liked Twilight before it blew up and all the crazies and haters started coming out of the woodwork. I was also a fan of All Time Low when they were indie. I grew out of their music and was really surprised when I heard them on the radio, but happy for them.

My parents got me the Harry Potter books before they exploded in popularity (at least in my town), but for some reason I was like "meh" and didn't read them. I could have been so far ahead of everyone else!

I literally can't think of anything. I mainly rely on word of mouth and happenstance to find new media, so I rarely ever get into things early on.

I watched S1 of Stranger Things like one or two days after it was released? Though Stranger Things was pretty much cool from day one, so I don't think I can claim to have watched it before it was cool. But I watched it before it became apparent that it was going to be a Thing.

Megan Fox lol I loved looking at her in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen.

I remember thinking, if she got famous, she'd be the next Jessica Alba. It made me so happy to see her in Transformers

Jars of Clay, Sixpence None the Richer, Skillet, and P.O.D.

I used to work for a christian rock radio station, which actually helped to break Skillet, was pretty friendly with Jon and Ken. I worked a concert where Jars of Clay was the mere opening act (for PFR) and no one had heard of them yet. They legit broke maybe two months later. I own a guitar cable Sixpence left in our studio and didn't want back. And P.O.D. was better with "Southtown" before they got big.

I loved Suzanne Collins before she wrote the Hunger Games. I really like the Underland Chronicles. They were so good in my opinion. I really didn't get into the Hunger Games and actually ended up actively disliking the series and movies. I felt they were just too dark and not for me, as well as having some issues with the writing and themes. Anyway I know tastes vary, but it was weird to find myself in the position of LOVING some things an author had written...and actually really disliking her most popular works! (Came to the opinion before they were huge, but them getting huge and being everywhere upped my dislike some, too.)
